• Hmmph! This redirect was formed when an attempt at humour was moved from articlespace to project space. Frankly, I don't see the target essay as something worth keeping (I don't see the purported humour at all); I'd recommend that this be taken to WP:MfD (before the move, this would have gone to WP:AfD, whereupon it would have been executed as a hoax. As to the redirect in question: should the target be deleted through MfD, the redirect will be swiftly gone, too. Before then, it's a bit more problematic - should the target go to MfD, I'd recommend deferring a decision on this until the fate of the target is decided. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 19:39, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The target page does not mention "texas toothpick". In addition, there seems to be quite some disagreement on what the phrase refers to. I've seen suggested "baculum", "spud bar", and fried jalapeños (the only article that actually mentions the phrase). Given the confusion, I recommend just deleting the redirect. • Delete as there are too many possibilities: it's often used as a slang term for the baculum of various animals (most notably raccoon, from what I've seen), but it also refers to a type of jackknife (it seems [2] and [3] are sold under this description, for example). Go past the second page of the Google search of "Texas toothpick" (entire phrase) and you'll see nothing (as of this post) but commercial knife listings (I've also seen this referred to as a type of Bowie knife). Another Julie Sutton (mayor) exists now, so a redirect from the maiden name of a sportsperson who appears to have (mainly) competed under her married name, should not occupy the primary Julie Sutton page. • I have boldly dabified the page. There should also be a redirect for Julie Sutton (curler) or Julie Sutton (curling) - maybe both - as they are more likely search terms than looking for the married name of a person who won her Olympic medal under her birth name (I don't believe she was married when she competed in Salt Lake City). • I find it amazing that this is not being used by Wikiproject Musicians in any fashion. Perhaps it should be deleted in case someone wishes to make a new template, but it seems more useful (and user-friendly) to retarget to Template:WikiProject Music/Related WikiProjects, a template that provides an overview of WikiProject Music and its related WikiProjects. • Keep all. I understand Japanese orthography quite well, and I still sometimes trip over the similarity between "Tokaido" and "Hokkaido". Someone with no knowledge of the language is even more likely to do so, since the island of Hokkaido is more prominent.
