Brothers Flub AdventuresThe Brothers Flub

The result of the debate was Kept. -- JLaTondre (talk) 13:09, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search term. The show was called "The Brothers Flub", never had "adventures" in title. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirps • HELP) 23:34, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - I redirected this title because Amazon.com mistakenly used that (see http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&search-alias=video&field-keywords=Brothers%20Flub%20Adventures ) - AFAIK mistaken names are prime targets for PRODSs WhisperToMe (talk) 00:50, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Homeless Rabi → Jesus

The result of the debate was Keep as misspelled companion of the valid search term Homeless Rabbi for which there is no consensus to retarget.Tikiwont (talk) 10:12, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No encyclopedic value, seems like a joke. meshach (talk) 23:11, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a joke. "Homeless Rabi" is a common epithet for Jesus in New Monastic circles. Examples can be found in such publications as The Irresistible Revolution. Neelix (talk) 23:17, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - see here, here and here for examples. Someone may come across the term and not know what it refers to, and type it into the search box. However, 'rabbi' always has two 'b's in English. Keep the present redirect as a plausible misspelling, and create 'Homeless Rabbi'. - Richard Cavell (talk) 00:46, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • 'change the redirect to point to New Monasticism. DGG (talk) 03:39, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete misspelling, few non blog hits. if keep, change to New Monasticism. --skew-t (talk) 06:28, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as misspelling and add 'Homeless Rabbi,' both --> Jesus. New Monasticism is a context rather than a comparable search term. Chuckiesdad (talk) 07:41, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

David Miscarriage → David Miscavige

The result of the discussion was G3 non-admin closure. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirps • HELP) 15:21, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like a malicious redirect. SchuminWeb (Talk) 21:17, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • G3 Vandal redirect perhaps? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirps • HELP) 23:34, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - widely aped in the blogosphere and Encyclopedia Dramatica, but not in any reliable source. B.Wind (talk) 01:30, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MRSA (Mersa)--Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureus → Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus

The result of the debate was delete. Wizardman 18:49, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like an unnecessary and elaborate redirect. It seems unlikey to me that someone would search for this while trying to find the MRSA article, and there are no inward links being redirected. NickContact/Contribs 19:16, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete For all above said reasons. No one is EVER going to put "MRSA (Mersa)--Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureus" into their search bar. Please delete. The most popular search term, "MRSA" already has a redirect.Cssiitcic (talk) 21:05, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject:Trade → Wikipedia:WikiProject Trade

The result of the debate was deleted by Ultraexactzz (talk · contribs) per CSD G7. --NickContact/Contribs 02:55, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Remains of failed attempt at pseudo-space for wikiprojects, should be deleted. MBisanz talk 07:44, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I created it by a complete mistake and meant to put it up for a speedy but forgot. Please go ahead and delete. Thanks --Patrick (talk) 17:14, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Seattle Mariners → Wikipedia:WikiProject Seattle Mariners

The result of the debate was delete. Wizardman 18:49, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Improper, recent CNR to a wikiproject, does not link to content. MBisanz talk 07:43, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Cross-namespace redirects from article space should either help the reader of Wikipedia, or should have clear, unambiguous advantages to the project as a whole. This redirect meets neither of those criteria, it serves only to mask typos in user discussions. IMO, the same applies to all the other redirects listed at Special:PrefixIndex/WikiProject. Sega Project → Wikipedia:WikiProject Sega

The result of the debate was retargeted. Wizardman 18:47, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problematic CNR to a Wikiproject. Should it just link to the actual article on Sega? MBisanz talk 07:42, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of statistics categories → Wikipedia:WikiProject Statistics/List of statistics categories

The result of the debate was retargeted. Wizardman 18:48, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate CNR to a wikiproject tracking category, does not link to content. MBisanz talk 07:42, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, but does that mean that List of mathematics categoriesWikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics/List of mathematics categories is also inappropriate? If you can convince the math folks of this, then I'll concede the point here. Btyner (talk) 13:44, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean the redirect that I've just retargeted to Mathematics? Ignoring WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, both the nominated redirect and this one need(ed) retargeting to avoid the CNR and to avoid self-referencing. 147.70.242.40, temporarily at 147.70.242.41 (talk) 20:49, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

America's HatCanada

The result of the debate was delete. Wizardman 18:46, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsensical redirect in my opinion. This has been in place since March of this year but another editor alerted me to it. Would like a wider view. 211.30.109.24 (talk) 02:07, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, possibly speedy as implausible (or offensive?) redirect. Terraxos (talk) 17:49, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. But, I must say, it's slightly funny. --UsaSatsui (talk) 21:14, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - A Google search shows that the term is in widespread use. It's entirely possible that someone might hear the term and type it into the search box, trying to find out its meaning. It is funny, by the way. - Richard Cavell (talk) 00:37, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The testicle thing → Treehouse of Horror XI

The result of the debate was delete. Wizardman 18:46, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect has no correlation between itself and the target page. It seems to be a vandalism redirect. Killiondude (talk) 07:57, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as nonsensical redirect. Terraxos (talk) 17:49, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I don't think it's vandalism. But the redirect name cannot be shown to be a likely search term, or to have any specificity to the target. - Richard Cavell (talk) 00:34, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - term is too far afield of the target to make a logical connection. B.Wind (talk) 01:34, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
