Poker/Community card → Community card

The result of the debate was delete. WjBscribe 16:15, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was fixing some double redirects after merging this target and came across this one. No inbound links, unlikely search term, and to my knowledge namespace sub-articles are discouraged. Arkyan • (talk) 18:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"GAY" → WP:GAY

The result of the debate was speedy retargeted to GAYGurch 21:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where to start??? This is a CNR, a totally pointless redirect and a double redirect. --IhateCNRs 15:05, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Close discussion. It's already been fixed. YechielMan 18:28, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Double and cross-namespace redirect. It also doesn't look like anything's been fixed. —C.Fred (talk) 20:10, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Revenge is a dish best served cold > Revenge

The result of the debate was keep. WjBscribe 16:05, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense redirect. This is the last pure nonsense redirects I will nominate for deletion, after the case is closed, I will use speedy delete templates, but I don't know how to do it without copy-pasting from "Recent articles" that are nonsense. Helping would be nice. TheBlazikenMaster 09:56, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Revenge mentions the origin of this widely-known proverb, which is a plausible search term. –Pomte 14:10, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, it's reasonable that someone may search for information about this proverb, and Revenge does indeed explain its coining in the novel Les Liaisons dangereuses. Krimpet (talk/review) 04:28, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong keep, very probable search term. Please don't speedy these. Abeg92Hokies! 14:34, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep for the reasons given by Krimpet, this is a perfectly valid search term. Adambro 12:13, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

עוגיפלצת → Cookie monster

The result of the debate was delete. WjBscribe 16:03, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cookie monster comes from the American TV series, Sesame streets, right? So what's the point of redirecting from non-English characters? This is friggin pointless. I say delete. Also كعكي should be nominated for deletion as well. TheBlazikenMaster 09:22, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - (NB for anyone interested, it's (Modern) Hebrew, aka Ivrit). Anyone searching that term is better off on the Ivrit Wikipedia. --Dweller 12:57, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • BJAODN What the...? I read Hebrew, and that's hilarious. YechielMan 18:30, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Accurate, see [1], but cross-language redirect is not appropriate. --Shirahadasha 04:33, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I hate to spoil his fun, but most people speak English on the English Wikipedia. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 18:19, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Computer Science And IT → Alemaya University

The result of the debate was delete following history merge to target article. WjBscribe 16:14, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On the one hand, I understand the need to keep the edit history of the page. On the other, this makes no sense, having a link from an overly general topic to a very specific article—and one that only minimally addresses the subject. —C.Fred (talk) 01:48, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Move history to Computer Science and IT (Haramaya University) and then delete Computer Science And IT or retarget to computer science. --- RockMFR 00:18, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move history and delete redirect. Since this redirect apparently occurred due to an ill-thought name for a particular university department, there's been no demonstration of any need for a redirect with a more global meaning. If there's a need to retarget, it can be done in the future. --Shirahadasha 04:39, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support deletion. The subject does not match the redirect. What next? Would Civil AND Coastal Engineering redirect to the University of Florida because they have a department name that combines two general terms? I also don't see any need to retarget to computer science. - Charles 22:30, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
