Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/New article notes

The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the miscellaneous page below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the page's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.

The result of the debate was Delete - non-controversial, the Project that hosts the subpage doesn't want it, it has no intelligible purpose; this could have been removed under Speedy G6 or IAR, but the time has run so it doesn't matter. Doug.(talk contribs) 13:11, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/New article notes

A redlink for this page was accidentally created when porting a template over from another WikiProject. Consensus at WT:USRD says that it doesn't really have any purpose for that wikiproject, and the link has been removed from the template. It's not clear what the editor who created this page actually intended, and it remains his/her only edit, even after we posted a query on the user talk page. • Delete I remember this being brought up at the project and i see no use for it. Seddon69 (talk) 21:26, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment This should be up to the project to decide if they want to keep it for their own uses. It is not old (22 March 2008), it is hardly used (once), but seems to have plenty of links to it. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:29, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm having trouble making heads or tails out of your comment. I thought I made clear in my nomination that the project has decided that they do not want to keep it for their own uses. (What I didn't make clear is that I, myself, am a member of that WikiProject.) However, while we've decided we don't want it, we still need to bring it here since PROD is only for article space, and there doesn't seem to be a CSD that applies. From what I can tell, the only reason most of those pages are showing up on "What links here" is because they transclude Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/nav, and they're still showing up for some reason even though the link was removed from that template several days ago.
All that being said, if all your comment meant was that you're neutral because you're not a member of the WikiProject, I totally understand that. :-P -- Kéiryn talk 00:24, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes - my vote here is neutral, however I would support your decision, I would have expected some kind of speedy delete tag to apply! Such as G6 housekeeping. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:46, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be somewhat of a stretch to say G6 applies, but probably not all that a controversial stretch. I'll keep that in mind in the future. -- Kéiryn talk 13:36, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I'm a member and see no use for it. --Rschen7754 (T C) 04:51, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
