Wikipedia:WikiProject Phineas and Ferb

Not only is it too narrow for a project, but no one knows how to run it. If someone who knows what they're doing wants to create a task force instead then go ahead. JDDJS (talk) 21:36, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a minimum size for a WikiProject? I guess if there is I'd say delete, but if not then keep. DC TC 05:09, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Technically, according to the proposal for WikiProjects page in the council space, it is 5, which this project has. Sven Manguard Talk 15:49, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's task forces created for topics that are too small for projects. But the main isnt just the size, its the fact nobody in it knows how to run a wikiproject. JDDJS (talk) 17:56, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Question: What exactly has shown you that this specific WikiProject features incompetent members? I'd be fine with a reduction to TaskForce or even complete deletion—as long as the articles are still improved by driven and interested users—I was just wondering if anything has occurred that has sparked this consensus from you. Also, it appears you're a member. Are you merely using this deletion to address an issue you have with the project or its members, and is that actually what has helped you draw the conclusion used for opening up this deletion discussion...? I'm confused by what your asking. I feel that Phineas and Ferb articles should still be improved. I just don't feel there's a need for a group that nobody uses or even knows how to. I feel it is useless because there's only 5 members including myself, nobody edits the talk page, page aren't ranked on importance level and things like userboxes and barnstars aren't even made right. Considering that this Wikiproject is what, just over a month old, perhaps the best option would be to recruit members and get the word out that you exist. Learning the technical side is easy, and the project page isn't that important to small projects as long as the group communicates and has some listed objectives. If it dosen't work out after say another two months, I would try and fold it into a taskforce in WikiProject Television, but right now, it's just growing pains. (by the way, Wikipedia:WikiProject North America just started up, and no one there really seems to have extensive experience in running WikiProjects, but we're making it work because we're trying really hard, and have a very dedicated IP doing a lot of work. One user with drive and a desire to make something a success goes a long way.) Sven Manguard Talk 15:49, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually the project you bought up only proves my point. It was created yesterday and is much better shape than this one (which by the way was created over 2 months) ago. And one of the biggest points is that it is a very narrow topic for a project. JDDJS (talk) 22:49, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom, clearly and blatantly malformed wikiproject, subject better suited to a taskforce. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 21:03, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
