Wikipedia:Don't-give-a-fuckism

For a website that already struggles someone to achieve and maintain credibility, this page certainly doesn't help the cause. It makes the site look like a joke - and that is does not take itself seriously. It is kind of appalling that this page is allowed to stay when Wikipedia is trying to make itself into a credible source for information on the Internet. • Keep. Go get fired up about something that matters. Wikipedia will be less of a joke and more credible when actual issues of concern are addressed. This doesn't even make the list. Lara 21:48, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comment This page doesn't help anything. Please explain to me why this page should be kept. This page offers nothing of any substance to this website.Alex (talk) 21:49, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't hurt anything either. This page, however, hurts morale. Thanks for bringing down the unpaid troops. ;) Lara 22:35, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep – I highly doubt that many readers flock to Wikipedia and first see this humorous essay. Unless the nom wishes to go an a humorous-essay-deletion-spree which others have already failed to accomplish. –MuZemike 21:54, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as MuZemike said, i doubt that users come here to see this essay. I didn't know that it existed until a few weeks ago, it's not harming anyone, and it's a single page... Pilif12p :  Yo  21:59, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep What is the point of this discussion, exactly? What is it gaining anyone? ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 22:00, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Do not give a fuck about this nomination. Keep. Ironholds (talk) 22:35, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:DGAF. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 22:37, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: What Lara said above. --MZMcBride (talk) 22:40, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep per WP:SNOW. WP is not censored. Grow up. The essay is clearly encouraging a zen-like attitude towards editing. Just because it uses the word "fuck" 22 times is not a reason to delete it. Perhaps if you practiced don't-give-a-fuckism a little more, you wouldn't have let your emotional response to the word "fuck" compel you to nominate this page for deletion. • Keep - Being a hypothetical source of embarrassment is not a valid deletion reason. Though I agree with Lara, something like this doesn't even make the list of things that could cost us credibility. Mr.Z-man 22:59, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per all the above keeps - I "struggle someone" to follow the nom, and I think "is does take itself" too seriously - I'd comment further, but cba. Nortonius (talk) 22:59, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
