Draft:Windows Server 2025

Draft:Windows Server 2025 (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

1) Just because there is a new preview version of Windows Server does not indicate that it is Windows Server 2025 (referencing ref#2). 2) Has not even been announced yet, article likely a hoax. 3) "Features" section cites ZERO sources. 4) Windows Terminal is an existing part of Windows that is optional, and Microsoft has made no indication that it will become a DEFAULT feature. 5) "Virtualization Howto" has no notability as a source, most likely does not meet reliable source criteria. 6) A forum post (ref #3) is almost always unreliable. 7) Most of the content appears to be made up, like "release date", see #1 about why the "first build" part may be wrong, Windows 12 has not been announced, and NO source confirms their seemingly made-up release date. • Keep - It's a draft, and drafts are not deleted either for notability reasons or for accuracy reasons. Lack of notability, such as being too soon, is addressed by declining the draft. Errors in a draft should be dealt with by normal editing. There is no basis for deletion of this draft. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:21, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Warning - The erroneous nature of the MFD nomination does not justify or excuse the repeated removal of the MFD template from the draft. The originator should present their case for keeping the draft in this deletion discussion, not by removing a notice. If the originator removes the MFD tag again, a request will be made at WP:ANI for a partial block. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:21, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Robert McClenon Sorry, I was not the one who removed the templates, it was a blocked IP. To clarify, were you talking to me or them? I do not see how a block is justified for me for removing templates that I did not remove. Mseingth2133444 (Did I mess up? Let me know here) 04:24, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
User:Mseingth2133444 - I was talking to the IP, and put a Level 3 warning on the IP's user page. I meant the originator of the draft, not the nominator of the MFD. Robert McClenon (talk) 04:30, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - On point 6: the third reference is a blog post (not a forum post) from a Microsoft employee on an official Microsoft website. I fail to see why this reference would be problematic here. Otherwise most of the problems you cite are accuracy and notability defects that seem to be better addressed by editing the draft and not requesting its deletion. 0xC0000005 (talk) 03:12, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed; striked out #6. Mseingth2133444 (Did I mess up? Let me know here) 16:36, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Not bad enough to delete.—Alalch E. 13:15, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - This is just a draft, not a normal article. As a draft is initially unreliable at first, it can be improved over time as time goes on towards the eventual release of WS 2025. To similarly state as per @Robert McClenon, this draft is too un-notable, mostly being too soon to be a mainspaced article, and that attempts to do so would simply result in getting the draft declined, as it was declined multiple times throughout the draft's existance.
Additionally, there has been one attempt to get this article mainspaced by メイド理世 on the 28th of January, whom first created this draft, but was moved back as a draft by Mccapra instead of having the article deleted according to the edit history of this draft.
