I'm asking for civility. I'm asking to be heard as a valid alternate reading. I want protection from his threats of blocking me for drawing valid conclusions that are different from his.

Where is the dispute?

What is the dispute?

The dispute arose when I cited sources that challenged a comment in one source that the movement 'arose' in the 1960s, by citing sources that say the term was used in the late 1800s, and for congregations of Christians in Israel who didn't want to give up their Jewish heritage or worship style.

I have agreed that it grew rapidly starting late 1960s, and the term emerged from obscurity and came into public use in the 1970s. In reply, the gang moved the assertion to the first line, and 'in your face' affront. I have suggested that one phrase be removed, and it doesn't change the theme of the header, and leaves to the History section the discussion of how and when the movement emerged.

JayJG yells and threatens when I attempt an edit that challenges his dominance. He does an auto undo of what I write and then calls my rewrites 'disruptive'. I have taken breaks to let the situation cool, and as soon as I return the venom is worse. He threatens blocks. When he said a substantial amount of material didn't belong on the MJ page, I moved it to its own Hebrew Christian page; he discussed it on the MJ page to justify his and the others' disruptive editing on the HC page [[1]]. I appealed for help; resolution was to create an alternate Hebrew Christian Movement page.

What he sees as disruptive vandalism is simply the actions of a researcher drawing different conclusions, but without a gang to weigh in on the vote.

What would you like to change about this?

I want the bullying to stop. I want a fair discussion of the movement, with civility. I want him to follow the 4 points of the discussion page: Be polite, Assume good faith, Avoid personal attacks, and Be welcoming.

I'd also like acknowledgment there were Messianic congregations before the movement gained popularity in the 1960s.

How do you think we can help?

First, if he tries to block me, don't let him do so arbitrarily.

He's an administrator. Maybe he'll listen to you.

Discussion

It appears the dispute is over, no? There hasn't been much edit-warring on either of the articles/redirects mentioned. —Ancient ApparitionChampagne? • 11:30am • 01:30, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's not over. EVERYTHING I add is reverted. Did you look at this?--DeknMike (talk) 01:03, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
