French team have the following set of tutorials: French graphic tutorials. Translations welcome !

Map tutorials

There is a list of existing map tutorials; more are welcome. French users have provided some, and translations into English would be welcome.

The best places to obtain SVG map backgrounds are listed in SVG maps, particularly Location_maps (2008 standard) and their sub-pages. The Map conventions and toolbox also provide six helpful conventions, some strongly supported by specific teams. The tutorials below follow the training of a hypothetical new map maker: the deeper you go, the more complexity and beauty you find.
