  • Propose deleting Category:Microsoft Surface products graphical timeline templates (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Nominator's rationale: Not useful unless there is at least one more graphical timeline template for Microsoft Surface products. InfiniteNexus (talk) 21:40, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom Mason (talk) 03:59, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

GLAM project members

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: rename as proposed. No prejudice against separate discussion on the other points. (non-admin closure) Clyde [trout needed] 20:41, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Use "participants" in these collaborations for consistency with WikiProjects, following Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2023 October 1#Category:WikiProject X members. For info, WP:GLAM = "galleries, libraries, archives and museums". The abbreviations remain somewhat cryptic but IMHO are necessary to avoid extremely long names for these collaborations, and are consistent with others in Wikipedians_by_Wikipedia_collaboration. – Fayenatic London 13:38, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename the first two to Category:Wikipedia:GLAM/Museum of Modern Art participants and Category:Wikipedia:GLAM/Metropolitan Museum of Art participants to match the name of the collaboration page (Wikipedia:GLAM/Museum of Modern Art/Wikipedia:GLAM/Metropolitan Museum of Art). Weak delete the third one as the collaboration is defunct, or failing that rename it to Category:Wikipedia:GLAM/The Children's Museum of Indianapolis participants. * Pppery * it has begun... 22:56, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename members to participants per precedent. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:05, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename per precedent --Lenticel (talk) 09:06, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Since there is a Category:Wikipedia GLAM, there isn't any real reason why these categories need to have the parent category in their name. Rename as C2D (so not "MoMA participants" but "Museum of Modern Art participants" per Wikipedia:GLAM/Museum of Modern Art, or even "Museum of Modern Art task force participants" as this is basically a task force. --Gonnym (talk) 14:40, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: manual merge to Category:Fictional Greek people. (non-admin closure) HouseBlastertalk 12:26, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: manually merge, none of the three subcategories fits the description of this category. Two subcategories are by period instead of by descent and one is about Cypriot characters instead of about Greek characters. The latter should be purged. Nominator's rationale: Redundant with it. JDDJS (talk to mesee what I've done) 03:20, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
