Nominator's rationale: Created by blocked user Caftaric. Subcategorization of euryhaline fish by taxonomic rank and by edibility seems excessive. I am not sure whether being euryhaline is "defining enough" itself for categorization (see its parent category Category:Euryhaline fish), and so would like to discuss what should be done with the 33 articles currently categorized within Category:Euryhaline fish genera if it is deleted. Delete Category:Euryhaline fish, Category:Euryhaline edible fish and Category:Euryhaline fish genera - upmerging/listifying if necessary. We already categorize fish in the following ways (and others):

Delete Category:Euryhaline edible fish and Category:Euryhaline fish genera for sure. We don't need intersections of euryhaline and edibility/taxonomic rank. I don't think Category:Euryhaline fish is really a DEFINING quality, so I'm inclined to delete that as well, but it is less problematic than the intersectional categories. Category:Euryhaline fish is however, severely underpopulated given the number of articles on euryhaline fish on Wikipedia. With the current limited contents, it's pretty misleading, and given the lack of enthusiastic volunteers wanting to fill the category properly, it should be deleted. However, Category:Corporatism task force articles has 31 subcategories. It would make no sense to delete this parent category, while leaving the subcategories in place.
That could be changed by amending the nom .... but the categories are populated by {{WikiProject Politics|corporatism=yes}.
So all these categories would be emptied only by disabling the corporatism flag in the {{WikiProject Politics}}. However, that would require a consensus at WT:POLITICS, and I see no discussion of this there.
