The result was redirect to Ebola virus epidemic in West Africa#United Kingdom. I'm not sure this will prove to be the ultimately best redirect, but it's a way to start out. What is clear is that it should not be a separate article. DGG ( talk ) 04:04, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would be OK with the redirect.Jytdog (talk) 16:04, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect as well. Beyond the fact this guy got sick, there is nothing notable about him. He doesn't need his own article. Richard-of-Earth (talk) 19:10, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep The Guardian article is certainly substantial coverage, and that fact that he is planning to go back to Africa to continue his work shows that he is more than just a guy that got sick. BayShrimp (talk) 22:02, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If he does additional notable things past catching Ebola virus, and it is covered by references, then he might be more than that. But just having plans to go back to Africa doesn't show any notability. Xqxf (talk) 22:38, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Redirect. Obviously, this person is notable for only one thing, but even in the article's description of catching Ebola, coverage of his story in the article is weak. If he gets Ebola again, or does something otherwise notable, we can un-redirect. – Epicgenius (talk) 00:56, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect as an obvious BLP1E case. Gloss 21:47, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, just so folks know, there are articles like List of Ebola patients and Wikipedia:Healthcare workers contracting ebola (I know, wrong space - i have asked its creator to move it). But i am more concerned with the desire to create articles on these individuals and list their names in WP. I am aware of 3 AfDs: this one and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ruth Atkins (UK nurse) and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thomas Eric Duncan. Jytdog (talk) 07:35, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect Having an article on every person who gets the disease just because the mainstream media is crazy is not good encyclopedia writing. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 09:43, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect. per above Cannolis (talk) 16:39, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, redirect is an implausible search term. Abductive (reasoning) 15:32, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect or Delete. This is a BLP1E and does not qualify for an entire article dedicated to this person. WhatamIdoing (talk) 15:44, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, obvious BLP1E case. Titanium Dragon (talk) 08:03, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
