• Keep many references in books and academia which credit Tezuka as the originator of a form of manga (comics) which are more story-oriented and visual as opposed to newspaper strips and text-heavy American comics:
  • Dreamland Japan: "the manga that I discuss in this book are almost all what are called 'story manga' in Japan. These are narrative manga... [The format] is what makes Japanese comics so different from those in other countries"

Is there a way to add those sources into the article? The way it is presented, it is still an essay and seems redundant to the main manga article, like it doesn't need to be split off from the main. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:06, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think based on the fact that it has references, but no one to integrate them into the body of the article, that it should be pushed into Draft, and this be redirected to Osamu Tezuka as one of his coined terms. The term is not present in either the Manga article or the History of Manga article, but since it's all about Tezuka's perspective, that would be the most helpful. However, even the Tezuka article does not say "story manga" either, so that would need to be tweaked. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:13, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

• Incubate As described by AngusWOOF, it seems to be mostly related to Osamu Tezuka and outside of history concerning him it's almost never used. The Japanese Wiki article for the term also pretty much just talks about Tezuka. Could also be merged to his article. Mr. Magoo (talk) 04:35, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
