Not every country at every event needs a separate article. We have Italy at the World Athletics Relays, and we have 2015 IAAF World Relays (with subarticles aplenty already). Italy didn't really do anything special at these championships, and these are a lot less important or popular than the actual athletics World Championships (or the Olympics obviously). • Delete/redirect as well as Italy at the 2019 IAAF World Relays and Italy at the 2021 World Athletics Relays, this isn't like the Olympics that needs participants/results granularized by country. Reywas92Talk 19:49, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep because for the main teams it is appropriate. The competition is the second in order of importance of the World Athletics (athletics, let's remember it is the Queen of the Olympic Games, we are not talking about a minor sport), the 2021 edition was a television success. If in only five editions of the event Italy (certainly not USA or Jamaica) has an article of 22,480 bytes, what do you think would happen in the long run? In other words, it is much better to have an article for each edition for the top teams (this one from Italy in 2015 is 4,761 bytes but it can be expanded if the entry is not deleted), than much less interesting articles for small countries, such as Aruba at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. --Kasper2006 (talk) 14:18, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      1. 1 is Olympics, #2 is World Championships. World Relays is way below these two in importance, and I doubt that most atletics fans would rate them above e.g. Continental Championships or something like the Commonwealth Games. If and when after 10 editions, around 2031, the Italy article nears 50K, one can consider having separate articles per 10 editions, or another division which may then seem most logical and feasible, but without having too many such articles. • Merge and redirect to Italy at the World Athletics Relays, as the World Relays are a C- or D-class event this would be overly detailed. Geschichte (talk) 07:08, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge and redirect to Italy at the World Athletics Relays. The topic does not generate enough coverage to warrant separate articles for each edition. The performance of a country in the series of this global level event does generate sufficient coverage en masse though. The detail included in the nominated article is relevant, cited and useful, so should be merged to the logical parent article. SFB 20:38, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect or delete Obviously not needed. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:07, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
