Article looks like a neologism, after a quick google search there didn't seem to be any reliable sources that mention "cooldere". Violates WP:NFT and WP:NOR. Feinoha Talk, My master 21:05, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Wikipedia is not a fan site. Article is of no significant notoriety or importance. Not a single source. Blatant original research. I'd go so far as to suggest this become a CSD. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 21:07, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- As an added note, I should mention the immense amount of POV and accompanying weasel words. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 21:11, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- There is indeed a lot of weaseling for such a short article. However, it does seem to be an actual, recently coined Japanese slang term, and I'm seeing enough discussion of it out there to hesitate to call anything in the article original research except the guess that it started on 2chan. None of it counts as reliable sourcing tho' -- let's see if someone can find any in Japanese. —Quasirandom (talk) 20:28, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment. It is indeed a neologism, one I hadn't heard of till this AFD, but poking about I see it's been around long enough that a brand of takoyaki called Cooldere was introduced this summer in Japan. There's not a lot of uses in English that I can find, though. Has anyone searched in Japanese yet? —Quasirandom (talk) 14:20, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete I'm gone to have to go with neologism and original research. I'm not seeing any reliable sources that defines the term, give its etymology, or attribute specific characters as Cooldere. So it also fails the policy on verifiability. --Farix (Talk) 19:01, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete for now. Not in common usage within the non-japanese anime/manga readers & viewers base. That term was found 12 times on Animesuki forum, 1 time on mangafox forum, 0 on onemanga forum & the term doesn't exist on tvtropes. Only RS coverage from Japan can save the day but right now it's a neologism if it will stick to the mass remain to be seen. --KrebMarkt 19:39, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete I searched for the Japanese term too, but didn't find more than trivial mentions. It appears to be a rather common word in online discussions (64,400 ghits) but not really notable. I suggest a redirect to Tsundere as the Japanese Wikipedia does. It could be worth mentioning as a variant there. --Apoc2400 (talk) 18:08, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- The ja-wp deletion discussion from 2005 is here. It's a unanimous delete/redirect as a 2channel neologism. --Apoc2400 (talk) 18:44, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Interesting, that last. I'm willing to follow ja.wiki's lead, though if an unrelated commercial product has been named after the term, I wonder whether the status as a neologism has changed in four years. —Quasirandom (talk) 19:58, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Redirect to Tsundere per Apoc2400's research and suggestion. —Quasirandom (talk) 19:58, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
