Unreferenced since 2007. Absolutely nothing in an independent, reliable source about the settlement came up in my WP:BEFORE. No evidence of legal recognition, nothing beyond it being a location on Google Maps for which automatic content has been produced on weather/hotel-rental websites and so-forth. • comment From what I see this probably is an actual village by this name, to the point where if you search for it in GMaps, it is given borders. I suspect one of the Malaysian sources would confirm this, but I cannot read Malay. But we ahve to have some documentation beyond looking at GMaps (or GNS). This is already notified to the Malaysia watchlist so if any of the people on that project want to chip in they can. Typically a lot of the official stuff for Malaysia is often in English so it would be found in a Google search if it was accessible online. There just isn’t anything. I know some of the people on here think that simply having a postal address, school, or clinic is sufficient for a WP:Geoland pass but this makes no sense because it would be effectively giving automatic notability to schools/hospitals/anywhere with a postal address simply for existing.
EDIT: also it really has to be emphasised that Google Maps is filled with errors and is based in large part on WIkipedia. FOARP (talk) 03:06, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: This geo db states, "Railroad station - a facility comprising ticket office, platforms, etc. for loading and unloading train passengers and freight", [1] This fits with other mentions I saw that associate sujbect with the railroad. I don't see any evidence that this is a legally recognized place, and I don't believe it is a town, but simply poeple living near the station working or providing services to it. The same geo db also has an entry for "Banir Estate, Perak, Malaysia" [2] states, "Estate(s) - a large commercialized agricultural landholding with associated buildings and other facilities" If someone can find RS that this meets NGEO/GNG I'd !v keep, but there are none atm; unless someone finds sources I'm Delete  // Timothy :: talk  06:06, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
