Weetwood is an electoral ward of Leeds City Council in north west Leeds, West Yorkshire, covering suburban areas including Far Headingley, Ireland Wood, Tinshill, Weetwood and West Park.

Notes

  1. ^ Hall was previously a councillor for Far Headingley ward from 1967, Weetwood from 1968 and then Cookridge and Weetwood ward from 1973.
  2. ^ Hamilton was previously a Kirkstall ward councillor from 1975 until he lost his seat in 1979.
  3. ^ Castle lost her seat in 1996 but rejoined the council in 2000 on her election for Roundhay ward.
  4. ^ Platt had previously been a Whinmoor ward councillor from 1980 and 1990.
  5. ^ Moxon lost her re-election bid at the next election in 1998 and a second attempt in 1999. She was elected for Chapel Allerton ward in 2000.
  6. ^ Blake lost her seat at the next election in 2000. She later served as a Hunslet ward councillor from 2002 till her election for Middleton Park ward at the 2004 election.
  7. ^ Golton did not run for re-election in Weetwood ward at the next election in 2006 and successfully ran for Rothwell ward instead.
  8. ^ Jennings left the Liberal Democrat group to sit as an independent before the 2007 election.
  9. ^ Following the recent election, Jennings joined the Conservatives as he felt "I can serve my ward better as part of a group rather than sitting as an independent." Now a Conservative, he lost his seat to the Liberal Democrats at the next election in 2008. Jennings would later rejoin the Liberal Democrats and stand for them again in Weetwood ward in 2018.
  10. ^ Gibson lost his seat at the next election in 2019. He was elected to council again to represent Cross Gates and Whinmoor ward in 2021.
  11. ^ Heselwood had previously represented Bramley and Stanningley ward from 2016 to 2023.[17]
