Veysian (Persian: ويسيان), also Romanized as Veysīān, Vaisiyan, Vaisyan, Vasīān, Veseyān, Veysīyān, and Voisiyan; also known as Cham Bāgh-e Veysīān; formerly, Mahmudvand (محمودوند), also Romanized as Maḩmūdvand,[3][4] is a city in, and the capital of, Veysian District of Dowreh County, Lorestan province, Iran.[5] It also serves as the administrative center for Veysian Rural District.[6]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,817 in 429 households, when it was in Khorramabad County.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 1,988 people in 535 households,[8] by which time the district had separated from the county in the establishment of Dowreh County.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,087 people in 619 households.[2]
