Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Bewoork

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Bewoork, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
  • It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://www.bewoork.com/ourproj.html. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. We are doing the best as we can to make the people believe in this new platform. This platform has been designed to help a lot of new companies in the United Kingdom. We are WorkDraft Studio, and we have all copyright rights to write information about a platform made by our company. Bewoork.com is property of WorkDraft Studio, based in Slough. Please review our page... Sincerely,

Francesco

There were two things wrong with the draft. 1. Copyright concerns, and 2. Advertising concerns.

  1. Regarding copyright; as you assert you are the copyright holder of the content that was taken from the website, you (theoretically) could release that content and allow Wikipedia to use it. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for a description of the process. However, I don't recommend that in this instance as the material is not suitable for an encyclopedia. See point 2.
  2. The second problem is that you are attempting to use Wikipedia to advertise or promote your platform. Wikipedia is not the place for advertising. Wikipedia looks down on people trying to use it as a place to, in your words, "make people believe in" products, services, religious ideas, etc.

As the content of the page was not acceptable, I have deleted it. There is an additional issue, in that your username is a violation of our username policy. I will be blocking this account accordingly. Please read the block notice, which will give you information on how to change your username should you want to use this account to contribute information that complies with our policies and guidelines. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:30, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am not KylieTastic, but neither of us can delete your account. For reasons of attribution for copyright, Wikipedia accounts can not be deleted. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:46, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, WorkDraft, does not comply with Wikipedia's username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy, which is summarized below.
Under Wikipedia's username policy, a username should represent an individual person. It should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights, being a "bot" account (unless approved), or implying that the account has any administrative or "moderator" user rights, or any kind of "power" or "authority" over other users); nor be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of an organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87" is allowed, but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company". Among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy on paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Wikipedia's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:31, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We don't want you doing that. That's for you to do on your own website and social media, not Wikipedia. We are a respectful company, we would insert information that are not just stories or informations already written on a website about our web platform bewoork.com, but things that can explain to people the importance of this platform, and the impact of bewoork.com in a nearly future to the society... As you do not recognize or acknowledge your promotional edits, you will not be unblocked to write about your company. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not the place to tell people about your company. Your company's website is for that. Please describe what constructive edits unrelated to your company wyou would make. It looks like you still need to request a new username. per WP:CORPNAME "Because Wikipedia's policy is that usernames should not be shared between more than one individual, the following types of usernames are not permitted because they imply shared use:

  • Usernames that are simply names of companies or groups are not permitted (these also fall under Promotional names).
  • Personal usernames that imply shared access, such as "Jack and Jill", are not permitted.
  • Usernames that are names of posts within organizations, such as "Secretary of the XY Foundation", are not permitted, as such a post may be held by different persons at different times.
  • However, usernames are acceptable if they contain a company or group name but are clearly intended to denote an individual person, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", "WidgetFan87", etc." -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 00:14, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, as asked by a Wikipedia administrator/moderator we've changed our account name to respect the Wikimedia&Wikipedia guidelines. So, we can be unlocked? Thanks WorkD737 (talk) 16:06, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I don't think we're getting anywhere here. The owner of this account clearly does not understand the nature or the purpose of Wikipedia. "we would create a page about bewoork.com". "I know this website is...made for companies" -- no, it exactly isn't that. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 17:06, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That resolves the username issue, but not your promotional edits. You won't be unblocked to edit about your company, so we need to know what edits you will make instead. You're also making this worse by indicating multiple people have access to this account(by using "we"). 331dot (talk) 16:13, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WorkD737 (talk) 16:50, 19 January 2024 (UTC) Okay, let me explain! I'm requesting to unlock my account to be able to edit or publish new pages on Wikipedia. About the using of "we", this is a mistake that I've made while writing fastly. Oh, If I remember correctly if I'm a figure that I recognise myself as "we", because I'm a LGBTQ, this cannot be written?! That's not my case, but you have to consider your words before reply or follow the guidelines as a bible. Anyway, we would create a page about bewoork.com, I know that this website is a web platform, made for companies and users, and I'm aware about his low virility due to the emerging of it, but as you or other moderators written I'm not authorised to write about it. But if this is true why there's public pages on wikipedia about pc software that run for less than a year, or about web platform like search engine or call center services? So let me know why some can and others don't. Have a nice weekend. --WorkD737 (talk) 16:50, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't indicate that "we" referred to you personally and you represent a business, so I thought you were talking about a group. I apologize.
That an article exists does not mean that it meets our guidelines. It may simply be not addressed yet. Wikipedia is not a database of things that exist, and is not a place for businesses to tell about themselves and their offerings. Articles are typically written by independent editors.
Jpgordon I think they were referring to their own website as "made for companies", not Wikipedia, but your point remains correct. 331dot (talk) 18:59, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WorkD737 (talk) 18:08, 19 January 2024 (UTC) Okay, I respect your choice. Thanks in any case. --WorkD737 (talk) 18:08, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
