An IP submitted my article, can you fix that so the decline thingy isnt there?

Some random IP submitted my article, just want to know if you can turn that submit box gray again. Toketaatalk 13:43, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, it doesn't look submitted to me as I can't review it, even though I agree the IP looks like they submitted it in the log. If you are able to get the article to a standard of notability, you can click the 'resubmit' article on the template. Not to discourage you but please be aware the article had a deletion discussion previously, if a few decades ago. Anecdotally, there's also a deletion trend for individual Pokemon on the basis of notability, so it may be an uphill battle here. Happy to help. VRXCES (talk) 05:25, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of notability on draft over Game studio

Hi there, as someone who is new to Wikipedia and a new Arknights fan (yes, I play Arknights), I created this article about Hypergryph, who are the developers of the critically acclaimed game. Unfortunately, the submission was declined due to a lack of notability and when I got this notice I don't know where to start. Is there a way to fix a problem like that? The article is right here if you need it. TriFusion (talk) 21:55, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Sorry, that was me. Just to outline some background that you may know, notability is the yardstick for articles entering the mainspace. This is where significant coverage about the subject matter from reliable sources independent of the subject is out there. For companies, it's important to note notability isn't conferred by the products a company makes; there has to be significant coverage about the company itself to warrant inclusion. This may be easy to resolve as I don't have familiarity with non-english sources that may already do this. Basically you probably just want the article to have information on the company's background - its formation, staffing, operations and any sources that assess its history or body of work as a whole. Because Arknights is the only product of the company, this would normally make the need for an article about the developer less necessary, although I note they seem to have a lot of other things in the works. But re-reading I see now that there is a bit more to it.
Also there are some issues with neutral point of view. You may want to substantiate claims that the game has "critical acclaim", "is one of the most popular mobile games globally because of its gameplay, storyline, music, and art design" and has a "global success and fanbase" - this isn't evidenced by the Polygon citation and the Pocket Gamer citation only states that it's a popular game. It's important to remember that statements have to be verifiable by reliable sources.
Hope this guidance helps you improve the draft to a level that's good to go! VRXCES (talk) 05:22, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. Thanks for the feedback! TriFusion (talk) 21:42, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Improved article classes

Hey again! I wanted help with this article I improved recently. If you look at the article's talk page, it was rated stub-class and regarded as low importance on WikiProject Video games. Now since I improved it, is it possible for these titles to change? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 18:02, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes! All you need to do is add the tag |reassess=y after the class in the template on the talk page. VRXCES (talk) 20:11, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Google search as been busted for years. With Tour de France 2013: 100 Edition I typed that and Focus Home Interactive in search and selected the "range" option in Google for which the game released (in this case 2013) and I got the results. Timur9008 (talk) 11:16, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Geno draft

I have removed some references that talk about him in Super Smash Bros. and I found used three new references which the character was the subject for two of them and they were used for Geno's strength in the reception section and is there anything else I could add in the draft to make it more likely to turn into a main space article. NatwonTSG2 (talk) 18:38, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help with a draft problem

Hello Vrxces, I am writing to you because I have a problem. You see last month I had created a sandbox page with the intention of creating an article for the character of Geno. I had initially created the page on January 15, but I had been looking into sources much earlier than this (at least since December if memory serves me correctly. When I did my source search, I noted that as far as I could tell, there was nobody else attempting to make an article about this character. However, it wasn't until near the end of me writing the sandbox draft that I notice that another editor was making a Geno article at the same time as me. I didn't intend for this, as I wasn't trying to get in anybody's way. And now there is the problem of there existing two different draft of Geno.

I am writing to you specifically I saw on the other editor's draft, you had rejected theirs, but mentioned you'd be open to messaging on the subject. So now I am asking if you can help resolve this problem. My draft is currently finished, but I don't want to submit it for review as I don't want it to come off as rude to the other Geno editor. My draft is available here on Draft:Geno (Super Mario RPG) (I chose the name because it lined up with Vivian's article being series specific and I saw that there was a redirect with the exact same name as the draft). Thanks, CaptainGalaxy 18:18, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Captain Galaxy I have saw your draft for Geno and it looks a lot better than me because you used references that I wasn't used to and you were enabled to expand each of the sections so yeah but the only problem was that what am I supposed to do with my Geno draft which was not better than your so is there anything suggests for me to do? NatwonTSG2 (talk) 01:48, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Captain Galaxy and @NatwonTSG2. Thanks for reaching out. I'm not an expert on Wikipedia policy but there doesn't seem to be an obvious answer on what to do when competing drafts are created. I guess I would say that WP:OWN that nobody 'owns' the right to publish a page - it is meant to be collaborative, so I think it just comes down to what is the best outcome for the draft. I think the useful content from both articles should do a WP:MERGE, and in this case it makes sense to do this to the page with the correct name - in my opinion, Geno (Super Mario RPG) is the correct name as that character is associated with that game and not a general character often seen in the broader franchise. It also helps that this is the larger and more complete draft too. VRXCES (talk) 06:30, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for the help. I have currently submitted my draft for a Geno article. CaptainGalaxy 10:18, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Give me your advice, O wise editor

Hello VRXCES. I've seen your wonderful work here on Wikipedia (from old games to underrated indie games). Speaking of old video games, how do you find sources for them? I want to broaden my repertoire. Thanks, TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 02:45, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Doing my best.
It depends how deeply you like to dive into sources to complete articles. My strategy is usually
  • Check Metacritic/MobyGames item for review sources
  • Cross-reference with WP:VG/S and include RS
  • Internet Archive item phrase search in sources
  • Google News + Google Scholar + WP:VG/SE
Happy to provide further detail. If you have a specific game in mind you're researching, I'm happy to help with it and provide a draft or existing article with sources. VRXCES (talk) 02:50, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Need help (again)

Hello again, VRXCES. I'm currently improving Vector (video game), and I've discovered an interview that contains well enough information for the development section. However, per WP:VG/S, this isn't a reliable source. What do I do? Do I just leave it out and have readers miss out on important information? Thanks, TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 16:13, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In short, mixing policy and my thoughts:
  • Generally avoid using non-reliable sources where reliable sources are available and could provide similar information, as this is more verifiable.
  • Primary non-reliable interview sources are a little less problematic as they are about views attributable to the creator of the work and are not meant to be factual.
  • In contrast to gameplay or reception sections, where secondary coverage is better as it is independent of the work, primary sources are helpful as the views of the developer are usually the only content providing information on the background and making of a game.
  • To reconcile these points, I think it's fair to add in when (a) other reliable sources aren't there (b) the interview is to add information to a developer-focused topic such as the background and development of the game (c) that topic isn't generally controversial and (d) the article attributes the quotes or indicates the developer is the source for any factual statements about the game.

GameZone ratings

Hey Vrxces! Hope you're doing great! I have recently been working on Draft:MotionSports Adrenaline in which I've reached a stop sign. There is a GameZone review on this game, but no overall rating. What should I do about it in the template? Should I just mention it in the section? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 08:07, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The archived version of the review shows a score of 2.0 for the game. But ordinarily yes, you would put a citation for a review without a score in the body of the text rather than the template. VRXCES (talk) 12:09, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

OXM Review archives

Hey! Thanks again on the GameZone rating. The article is finished. Feel free to check it out! I'm now working on another article, that being Draft:Storm (video game). Now, according to Metacritic, there are both reviews from the US and UK versions of the Official Xbox Magazine on the game. But they do not reference a specific date and time. Could you help me find the archives? You'd told me once you could help me find OXM archives when I had put up a different article for review a while ago. Article improvement partnership?

Hey @Vrxces, I had recently created A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games, which was recently moved to draft space by S0091 which I cannot argue with as I agree I kinda rushed that article. I don't really know how to improve it as this is the first time this has happened to me. I came to you as I know you have participated in AfDs and I read one of your earlier talk page topics on a collaboration proposal, so I wanted to see whether you were open to the idea of a partnership in improving this.

Also, for my earlier message, I realized the article had already been created, so I just merged mine into it so you could say I improved it. Awaiting your reply, MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 08:30, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, how's it going? I'm not quite sure about notability of studios as there is a bit less guidance out there about them. Notability isn't really inherited by the games a studio creates, so at the bare minimum it may be good to see if there's sources where the studio and not the game is the subject matter of the interview; even interviews. Without background information like the formation, membership and body of work of the studio, there might be issues. But I'm definitely not an expert on this stuff! Fictional character article notablilty

Hey @Vrxces, I've decided to scrap A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games and I've decided to make a page on a fictional character from the The Lego Movie franchise. Its going to be on Emmet Brickowski, the main character from The Lego Movie 1 and 2. Even though he already has a mention in the List of The Lego Movie (franchise) characters, I wish to create a page just for him. Similar to how Lloyd is the only one who has his own article from the Ninjago franchise. Do you think this idea would be notable?

I also plan to make articles for both Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013, both being sequels to Your Shape and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved. Thoughts? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 08:14, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, good to hear from you! WP:VG seems to be really fixed on character article notability recently. I'd definitely focus on seeing if you can find reception specific to the character from WP:RS as the first port of call as this seems to be the hitch that is causing issues. I'm probably better placed to judge notability for the Your Shape games - I'd see if you can find WP:THREE review sources for each game from WP:VG/S type sources. If there's not a lot of review sources out there, there's a pretty strong argument that the games should just be added as additional sections under the Fitness Evolved article. VRXCES (talk) 07:38, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey again Vrxces, thanks for the response. I have completed Draft:Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 but have come to an issue. It has been put under the category of Category:AfC submissions with the same name as existing articles, plus the article name is redirected to Your Shape: Fitness Evolved. Would this cause any problems in AfC? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 14:40, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Assumed someone must have put a redirect under Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 but apparently not. Shouldn't be an issue! VRXCES (talk) 06:41, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi VRXCES. Do you mind if I improve Grimace's Birthday and take it to GA status? TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 17:52, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Just a heads up though that WP:GA is normally nominated and undertaken by a significant contributor to the article. You may run into an issue with nominating Grimace's Birthday, for instance, where there is not much more to contribute and the article is largely complete (or at least I think it is). Nobody owns an article so it isn't about kudos per se, but being along for the 'journey' of article creation and editing can help be much more familiar with the sources and context that may be raised by a GAN editor and improve the quality of the review. That said, you are welcome to nominate any articles I have written that you have improved - just give me a heads-up so I can help the GAN review. Gridiron! GA

Hi! :) Would you be interested in getting Gridiron! to GA? It's Bethesda Softworks first game and I know you worked on other Bethesda Softworks related articles before like The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal in getting that to GA. Timur9008 (talk) 15:32, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I'll have a crack at it. Might be a little tricky given the name making it difficult to locate sources. I'll make some improvements nonetheless. VRXCES (talk) 22:47, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But always down for article suggestions and always happy to help! VRXCES (talk) 22:47, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are more sources on the talk page. I also found this a while ago [1] (picture of Ed Fletcher, the game's Designer, not sure if can be used though)
User:IceWelder can you assist us with incorporating these german sources to the article? [2], [3] Timur9008 (talk) 06:35, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help. I think with any extra sources found and those added by me to the article, I can get it to the GAN shortly. I'll keep you posted. VRXCES (talk) 06:56, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey again

Not sure if I'm allowed to do this, but...

If I don't manage to finish these GA reviews on time, could you help review Herobrine and Tears of the Kingdom for me? I'll be gone for a week, and I truly deserve this wikibreak. I figured you were the best person with your expertise on Wikipedia. TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 02:17, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this is possible, check the GAN page instructions on how to seek a second opinion. I may not have the capacity to do TOTK straight away, that is a big undertaking, but can take a look at Herobrine, although that page looks like it may need some improvement. Happy to also provide some pointers on GAN reviews if that would help. VRXCES (talk) 02:21, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024

Hello Vrxces,

New Page Review queue January to March 2024

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.

Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.

Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.

It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!

2023 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.

Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.

Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

Reminders:

  • You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Pages Patrol Discord.
  • Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.
  • To opt out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.

Faunasphere

Hi! Thanks for your comments on Draft:Faunasphere. I submitted it through AfC because I was unsure about the notability of the thing right now and it seems my fears were not unfounded. Would like your opinion on the following points and whether or not they establish notability:

  • Sources [1] and [6] are the most substantial "reviews" I could find that aren't on someone's self-published or user generated content website. I can add these to Reception, but they aren't exactly "critical".
  • I can make mention of the later works by Jason Begy (sources 2, 3, and 4) as academic work related to the game. They seem to be cited modestly enough - is that establishing notability for the game as the subject of studies after its decline or is this just a case of a fan with a background in game studies getting published? Also, it shows up in this, which I can't get full access to right now.
  • I did a further search and found at least one "review" on Adweek that seems more substantial but it was probably paid for as marketing. Anything else is as you say just a one-minute-read paragraph announcement for the various launches and later shutdown.

Thanks for your time. If it turns out to be insubstantial then I'll save a copy for my personal use and put it up as a CSD. Reconrabbit 14:01, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - appreciate it. A quirk of how WP:GNG is applied for video games absent a medium-specific notability guide is that reviewers tend to look for WP:SIGCOV from WP:VG/S sources in the form of reviews as a sort of threshold and first port of call to assessing notability. This has its own benefits and flaws - not least of all that unorthodox release models such as web games never got reviewed formally in the same manner as traditional games. On the reviews, I would count the Endgadget article as a valid review; the Next Gen Player article is not really reliable and seems like a WP:USERG blog unless Paul Hunter has credentials. The AdWeek source is hard to say but could be at best evidence of WP:NEXIST. On the research, a quick snoop of Begy suggests that he was a Masters-level academic but not a professor or leading authority. As per WP:SCHOLARSHIP these papers are valid and significant coverage, but I would assume that a body of research by one author can't be taken as multiple reliable sources of coverage. The sources are currently also not used as secondary commentary or analysis but as evidence of how the game works and its context.
Long story short, this is obviously a borderline case; maybe resubmission and getting a second opinion from someone else helps. Also drafts can exist in the ether forever - you are welcome to keep it in play indefinitely just in case there is more out there. Hope that helps and isn't overkill on views/guidance! VRXCES (talk) 22:33, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much for your response. I will emphasize the scholarship aspect on this and resubmit it, but it's likely that as you said Faunasphere was just a prolific example chosen by some works due to its vocal userbase. There have been some recent efforts to re-engineer the game from the ground up a la City of Heroes but of course it has garnered zero external coverage, which is probably for the best for its continued existence. Reconrabbit 17:56, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - appreciate it. Hopefully another editor can assess a second opinion - hope the drafting goes well! VRXCES (talk) 21:05, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of A Living Commodity

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on A Living Commodity requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. JeffUK 06:22, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A Living Commodity moved to draftspace - as requested on talk page of now draftified article. Notes about this soon at User talk:Vrxces#Speedy deletion nomination of A Living Commodity

An article you recently created, A Living Commodity, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:56, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for doing the draftify. I know this is largely automated text but there's an interesting gap between WP:GNG and WP:A9 which the above text doesn't really apply to. Anyway that's obviously best not agitated here but it's good to know for future. Thanks again! VRXCES (talk) 10:16, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@JeffUK and Vrxces: So here are those Notes. And look at me, second guessing two editors who write brilliant content while all I write are micro-stubs. https://egyptianblueshop.co.uk/ isn't in any useful here, as it is just selling Egyptian Blue (band) "merch". The 19 October 2023 NME piece here would appear to me to WP:VERIFY that the band are from Brighton but only add the writer's opinion of the band. Possibly the same with this piece in Clash (magazine). The more I look at this, the more I see should look with to my editorial smarts - and most explicitly without without my WP:ADMIN hat on - to improve this.Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 11:37, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's all good! I think you've applied A9 correctly. VRXCES (talk) 11:51, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Pokémon Crystal

On 11 April 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Pokémon Crystal, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Japanese version of Pokémon Crystal allowed players to trade and battle over mobile networks using an adapter (pictured)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Pokémon Crystal. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Pokémon Crystal), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

On the recent PB95 stuff

Hello!
Thanks for the suggestions.
Sadly, PB95 is a little niche, which is why there's not many reviews but the following:
- 3 reviews that were on the page in the draft.
- Metacritic user reviews (which are not allowed based on WP:VG/S)
- Portuguese review from a Wikipedia article of PB95 from the Portuguese Wikipedia
- Steam Curator Reviews (which I have no idea on the legality of).

If you could reply to me as soon as possible, that would be nice. Thanks! ThatPB95 Fan (talk) 03:18, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Unfortunately, as you mention with it being a "little niche", this gets to the fact the game may not be notable as per WP:GNG. Metacritic citations in a review score template are welcomed but aggregator scores are not in themselves something that contribute to notability. Steam reviews are WP:USERG, and only worth adding when the score itself has been reported by several reliable sources as a noteworthy reaction of the game's user base. Not sure on the reliability of TechTudo; it doesn't appear on WP:VG/S and another one to possibly raise at the talk page there. Again, I understand this has a bit of tenor of shooting down the work you've done, but comfortably satisfying the conditions of the WP:GNG by WP:VG standards will help the article not be subject to a deletion discussion raised by someone else once published. VRXCES (talk) 04:56, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello!
An update - I found two reliable sources, but they're in different languages. However, they are on the list. I'll list them both for you.
  1. 4Gamer.net (Japanese) [4]
  2. AwesomeGames.ru (Russian), however this is only a game feature [5]
And as you mentioned earlier, I might try to raise the reliability of Android Central and Zed Games. Thank you. ThatPB95 Fan (talk) 23:38, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Grimace's Birthday

Hello again! :)
I'm about to nominate Grimace's Birthday for GA status. TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 00:14, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks mate. Just a heads up that these are typically meant to be nominated by significant contributors, but given this is a really short article, you're more than welcome to nominate and I'm happy to chime into the GAN when it's accepted. Fortunately I think the article is mostly complete so there's probably not much to add in terms of sourcing or coverage. VRXCES (talk) 00:43, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

World Tour Racing

Hello there! I hope you're doing well. I nominated the Atari Jaguar CD game World Tour Racing to be a potential GA. So, if you're interested in reviewing it then let me know. Have a good day :) Roberth Martinez (talk) 15:50, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A Difficult Game About Climbing

Thanks for the review of Draft:A Difficult Game About Climbing. I am not the author of the original AfC draft, but when I saw its state, I felt like contributing as a fan of the game. On reading your suggestions, fair enough. It will probably take several months for coverage of the subject to proliferate across the usual channels, and many of the pieces I found stretch the boundary of being seriously journalistic in nature. I was surprised to see the limited scope of coverage one month out from release, especially given the game's popularity on the Steam charts and as a vehicle for generating content. Maybe in a few months there will be more press coverage to pull from on the tail end of the hype cycle. o7 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zetagaming (talkcontribs) 22:36, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No worries! Yes, sorry if you're already across notability. Definitely in cases of WP:TOOSOON where the reviews just aren't there the ideal scenario is to keep the draft as-is and see if it can be furnished later. Great work though on contributing to it - that's always appreciated even if it isn't quite across the line yet in terms of sourcing! VRXCES (talk) 22:40, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: Sonic the Hedgehog (film series) to be moved to Draft: Sonic the Hedgehog (media franchise) in preparation for Knuckles (TV series)'s release.

I noticed you declined the article on the legitimate basis that film series may be @ minimum 3 films. With the Knuckles TV series releasing, and considering that media franchises like DC Universe (franchise) are already well-published, I'd like to ask you to move it to that title so that it (as it definitely will under those rules) qualifies to be published.

Have a good one! ReddlSKye (talk) 23:56, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dang it

You beat me to it. Don't worry, I'm cool with it. I'm gonna refine the article you just started, maybe nominate it for GA :P TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 04:38, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's ok. Welcome any edits but I'm not really sure there's much to add to this one. Appreciate any help but yep, you might find yourself in a situation looking for things to edit to justify significant contribution to nominate an article, which may not be the best approach. Long time no see!

Hey Vrxces! Long time no talk/see! Its been a while since I've seen you on Wikipedia. I'd recently taken a short break, but have gotten back on track. I've decided to take a step further into Wikipedia.

I am planning on submitting an application to Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation. I had submitted an application a while ago, without any experience, which was obviously on me, but now, I think I'm ready, but, I still can't assure that. So I came to you. From the time I've known you, you've been helping me at stop signs, telling me what's wrong in my articles. Could you check my stats (xtools, pages made, logs, afd, contributions) and tell me if you think my work and experience could get my application accepted? I'd only be working in WP:VG, just like you :) Sincerely, MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 14:41, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
