Please stop

Please stop your disruptive edits. "Redlinks" on the Deaths in 2008 page are deleted one month after the death if no article is written during that time. That applies to the yodeller. Also, a chocolatier is someone who uses chocolate, not someone who makes it. Your contributions are welcome, but please justify your changes, and work with others, not against them. Thanks, WWGB (talk) 03:45, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your writing but a chocolatier is "a maker or seller of chocolate candies, esp. fancy or expensive ones," according to Webster's New World Dictionary. That describes Steinberg. Also, just so I know, where can I find this rule about red links? And does "working with others" really mean "do it the way I want it"? Thanks.

Actually, it doesn't describe Steinberg. The article on his company Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker indicates that "the company is a manufacturer of chocolate — as opposed to the far more common chocolatiers, who make their products using chocolate acquired from wholesalers and manufacturers". Re redlinks, some discussion here and here. WWGB (talk) 04:39, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's silly semantic game-playing. Chocolatier is the proper term.

Nationality on Recent deaths

[[American]] is not an article, it's just a disambiguation page. Pls use [[United States|American]] instead. Thanks 220.253.176.213 (talk) 08:57, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed new policy

As a recent contributor to Deaths in 2009, you may be able to help decide on a proposed new policy. It is proposed that:

A month should be deleted from the "Deaths in [CURRENT YEAR]" page ONE WEEK after the month ends.

Please opine at Talk:Deaths_in_2009#Proposed new policy. Don't just say

  • Support.

or

  • Oppose.

Also state your reasons and participate in the discussion. Michael Hardy (talk) 16:35, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cease and desist reverts on Lynn Redgrave

You have broken WP:MOS on a number of occasions regarding her nationality. Lynn Redgrave gained notability as an English actress thus as per WP:MOS is addressed as such. She is also a British citizen and carries an OBE in her title (an American cannot regardless of having dual). Cease and desist.HugoLoris (talk) 19:09, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
