We seem to have differing opinions regarding subject article's description of use of the Bering Strait for wartime logistics transport. My thought was to initially summarize strategic importance of the Arctic Ocean, and then chronologically describe the military engagements related to disrupting or protecting those strategic uses. Your most recent edit summary suggests the information you deleted is "detail that can be more usefully detailed later in the article." I encourage you to implement that suggestion. Failure to implement that suggestion casts doubt on its validity. I intend to restore the deleted information as originally presented if the suggestion is not implemented. Except the article is about genocide as well as stated in its intro pertaining to actions towards Muslims and Croats which was what is specifically talked about in the paragraph you edited. That doesn’t make sense for removing the genocide fact from the sentence. Sourced with multiple citations as well. Listed on the genocide article also. Changing it from genocide ignores the cited sources. Best practice not to do that. Titles can be renamed through link piping when looking to reference articles. I sorta understand where you are coming from. But. There is quite literally a section in the article called “Genocide of Muslims and Croats”. If title was the issue you could have linked to that section as many articles on Wikipedia due when referring readers to further reading and a article happens to have expanded discussion on a related topic even if the whole article isn’t about it. Though this one seems to mainly be. And regardless, how would it make sense to remove “genocide” from the sentence in the WWII in Yugoslavia article? That seems far more misleading. As for article titles. The Genocide of Serbs article was only in recent years changed from “Persecution of Serbs”. The article content was still about to the mass genocide the Ustashe carried out. Issues with titles can be taken up on the respective articles talk pages really. They are always evolving even the titles. But that’s a whole other can of worms when it comes to Balkan related articles. It’s why admin put these articles under a special restricted warning because of issue that arise. Much like any war or war crime related articles. You probably notice on any of the WWII articles.

Also another misleading issue I noticed though another editor apparently addressed it, is the paragraph you replaced all the text with in the intro describing “genocide and ethnic cleansing” being carried out by Axis forces and collaborators such as the Ustashe and no mention of the Chetniks at all, who collaborated more than not. As if the Partisans were engaging in more of a crime activities than the Chetniks. It comes across really strange from the surface. Chetnik war crime article info box even lists these attributes. Especially as these articles are highly controversial and plagued with edit wars at times. Hence the “Standard Notice” you got in January. Don’t worry, all us editors who edit those areas get that warning. It’s not because of anything wrong one did. So perhaps you can see my point? I hope you don’t take any of this the wrong way. As a new editor, just wanted to make you aware of these things. I hope you don’t take this as discouraging as I see you make many great edits on Wikipedia. Cheers.
