Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page W10. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Be familiar with the guidelines and style
  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in an article, and include the "blue link" to that article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

Speedy deletion declined: Fantino (disambiguation)

Hello Some Gadget Geek. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Fantino (disambiguation), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There are three links on the dab page. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 22:14, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your CVUA

Hi Some Gadget Geek, I've graded your final practical assignment, and at this point I'm not willing to endorse a request for rollback. Perhaps User:Kudpung, who general take care of WP:PERM, would like to take at your page (here). We can look at doing some more training, or anything else you'd like to do. Not too bad but I wouldn't accord the Rollback right just yet until you have more experience reverting vandalism edits one-by-one. Rollback is a powerful tool and can do a lot of damage if a mistake is made with it. Remember that until a few years ago it was only allowed to be used by admins. I would recommend using Twinkle for the warnings until you are fully familiar with what is vandalism and what is not (and using its preview function to see what the message is going to say), and using the other options for reverting in the diff window. Ask me when yu think you are ready for Rollback, but pass some more of Kharkiv07's test first. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 14:55, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Some Gadget Geek, I've marked your last few practicals, and there definitely is improvement! Why don't you just go about your business reverting vandalism for a few days, no need to report it to me, and I'll just keep an eye on your contrbis, and perhaps later this week we'll look into rollback. Cheers. Kharkiv07 (T) 01:59, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Editing other's comment

Hi again, it's generally not good form to edit others' talk page comments, there's even a warning template for it ({{Uw-tpv1}}). I'd recommend not doing it. Kharkiv07 (T) 14:48, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Some Gadget Geek, when an editor asks you not to post messages to their talk page, it applies to all of their user pages. And for a new editor to instruct an administrator on following correct policy guidelines, well, it is behavior that is considered unwise. Liz Read! Talk! 16:43, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well said Liz. If I may expand on your comments - of course every editor on Wikipedia is expected to abide by policy, and it's okay to remind people from time to time, I think most of this issue was caused by the way you did it. A polite "Hey why did/didn't you do X" would have at least opened a dialogue. samtar {t} 17:13, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
