Welcome!

Hello, Singularitywiki, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Draft:Elod Gyenge, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Elod Gyenge requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://electrochemistry.chemistryconferences.org/speaker/2018/elod-l-gyenge-university-of-british-columbia-canada and https://chbe.ubc.ca/news/2021/dr-elod-gyenges-company-agora-receives-the-2021-keeling-curve-prize-for-capture-utilization/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- EN-Jungwon 05:52, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Andrew Aziz (October 12)

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Bonadea was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: No sign of notability. Since Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Andrew Aziz closed as "delete" only a month ago, it seems very unlikely that this draft could be developed to show notability.

Deletion discussion about Elizabeth Spaulding (American executive)

Hello, Singularitywiki, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Shushugah, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Elizabeth Spaulding (American executive), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Elizabeth Spaulding (American executive).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Shushugah}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Disambiguation link notification for March 28

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Careem, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Magnus Olsson. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Abdulla Elyas moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Abdulla Elyas. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:13, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've moved this back to drafts, because the sources cited are insufficient to establish notability, and the article would have been an obvious candidate for deletion. Of the sources, 1 and 3 are primary, 4 and 5 are about the acquisition, and 2 alone isn't enough per WP:GNG. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:17, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I am from UAE and usually write articles about UAE such as Careem founders. I am also into finance and trading, so most of my edits are in those areas, as a new editor. I am not connected to Careem app, but I am a frequent user of that app. I recently learned about Careem founders billionaires in a CNN interview and was surprised these guys are not on wiki, that is why I decided to create their articles, which all of them did not meet GNG. Hi, Singularitywiki. Regarding Nima Momeni (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), you may wish to have a look at the policy WP:BLP1E ('biographies of living persons notable for one event'). It is rare that we maintain an article on someone known only for committing a crime; when we do so, it is usually because the person becomes very notable, to the extent that there is more to say about them than would fit in the main artcle. Doing otherwise presents a significant risk of BLP violations. For that reason, I have redirected the article to Bob Lee (businessman)#Death. If there is content about Momeni that is not mentioned there, it may be appropriate to copy some of what you'd written, keeping in mind the rules on people accused of crimes and giving due weight to what's discussed in reliable sources. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 01:22, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Mudassir Sheikha

Notice

The article Mudassir Sheikha has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lacks independent coverage that isn't WP:INHERITED from Careem.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wikipedia and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello Singularitywiki! Your additions to Sara Safari have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 02:04, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
