Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:07, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on India Against Corruption. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Euryalus (talk) 07:33, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring at India Against Corruption

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at India Against Corruption shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

You are way beyond 3 reverts. Follow WP:BRD. Do not make anymore edits to the article until a discussion on the talk page has resulted in a consensus decision. Until then, your edits are edit warring. You have been reverted by multiple editors who have told you, in their edit summaries, to use the talk page. Do that, and only that. -- Brangifer (talk) 07:58, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

India Against Corruption - an explanation

SimplonSimon, this article has been subject to severe disruption by a group of now blocked editors who have engaged in abusive use of multiple accounts (known as "sockpuppetry"), block evasion, personal attacks on other editors, legal threats, and harassment. Because of this, it is important to discuss any changes to the article on Talk:India Against Corruption. However, that page has been semi-protected due to the disruption. That means that new editors may not post there until their accounts are auto-confirmed (registered for at least 4 days and with at least 10 edits). I have looked at your edits. Some of them may be reasonable, although placed in the wrong section of the article. I suggest you wait until you are auto-confirmed and then use Talk:India Against Corruption for discussion of the edits you wish to add. You also have to understand why editors were very wary of what you were trying to do. Yesterday, the abusive group of blocked editors caused more disruption and posted legal threats on Wikipedia. That same day, you registered a new account and with your very first edits you went straight to that article and edit-warred. This may have been a coincidence, but you can understand why you have received the above warnings. Can you explain why you registered a new a account when you did and then went straight to that particular article? Did you read about it on a mailing list or noticeboard outside Wikipedia?
