Adding EL's re. SFU conferences

Please discontinue slapping External Links in articles since the links are not appropriate and appear to be a conflict of interest, as well. Please review the Wiki policy for External Links WP:EL. Thanks Bob98133 (talk) 21:12, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

These are academic papers that related to Salmon, Hatcheries or aquaculture etc... Many of the links lead to the document and many are in the National Library of Canada. I am confused as to why they would be a conflict of interest as other groups have their links added. Thank you for your time. --sfucss

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Salmon. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. I am confused as to why the further readings that I added on Salmon have been removed. They are ISBN numbers, are in the National Library, academic and are free to read or order.--Sfucss
