Please do not invite me to meetups. Although I no longer have social anxiety, these events are much more exhausting for me than most people due to hypermobility/Ehlers-Danlos type 2, please respect this.

I have frequent chronic pain, there will be times I am not active due to it.

I also have severe ADHD, so there's a chance I might see certain things let me know if I missed something important.

I speak some French, and am beginning to use the French Wikipedia so French speakers are welcome here (I am mildly obsessed with the French language so beware)(Also learning Spanish but not enough to use the Spanish Wikipedia).

i just want to say i was reverting a ton of vandalism and i think i accidently did it more then three times in one page does reverting to the last version of a page more then 3times qualify towards the 3rr rule? if so im very sorry ill try to be more careful and im ready to suffer the consequences Saturn star 01:14, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry. If it was just vandalism, and you reverted it more than 3 times, it's fine. See the exceptions here. Vandalism is one of them. R ParlateContribs@ (Let's Go Yankees!) 01:18, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

there were a few people(new users) that were deleating blocked as sockpuppet templates is that against the rules did i do the right thing by reverting it to the last version and warning them? thank youSaturn star 17:10, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, removal of those tags (if they are legitimate) is against policy. Warn them and if they continue, report to WP:AIV. --ST47Talk 18:14, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Saturn star, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! Your other account, User:Shoujo nyah, is still here in Wikipedia. I think you can get the password or a new password if you gave an email address when you made that account. But if you didn't give an email address, I think nobody can use that account anymore:( But you can leave a message on User talk:Shoujo nyah to tell everyone that your new username is Saturn star!

I saw your request for adoption, but I'm not on Wikipedia every day, so I'm not sure I'm the best person to help you. But I have some suggestions. Look at WP:Vandalism. This page has some templates you can use to warn suspected vandals. If you want to warn editors about other problems, take a look at List of warning templates. There are many good standard templates for you to use to get your point across.

Thank you for helping Wikipedia! -- • • • Blue Pixel 03:12, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

As you can see I have offered to adopt you. If you wish to accept the offer leave me a message and then we can start the adoption process. Xtreme racer 04:32, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As you can now see I have changed the userbox on your user page to acceptance and who has adopted you. The first thing I would like to start with is helping you to improve your userpage and maybe find some WikiProjects that you would like to be in. Xtreme racer 03:32, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As you can probably tell I have done some more editing on your userpage to help you organize it some more. If you have any more questions or would like further help with your userpage don't hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page. I will respond as quickly as I can. Wiki Projects

Wiki Projects can be anything from the video games project: works on video game article, to Wiki Project Aircraft: Work on flying related articles, and many more. I am sure I can find you a Wiki Project that you would enjoy. If you could leave me a message saying the kind of things you are interested in I'll see if there is a project for it. Xtreme racer 07:03, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

After seeing your message I have put the userboxes for WikiProject Ohio, Anime and manga and Harry Potter on your userpage. To officially join WikiProject Ohio though you need to add your name to the list of participants at the main page. If you would want to join other projects usually it just involves visiting the main page of the project and putting the userbox on your userpage. If you have many more questions please leave me a message. Xtreme racer 20:14, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, there is not much point in adding the template as user pages of indef blocked accounts (especially those of very new and vandal accounts) are deleted pretty quickly and adding the template serves no particular purpose. Although it is ok to add a "blocked" template when the blocking admin has forgotten to do so, it is unnecessary for indef blocks. - TwoOars 20:02, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.

Answer to Question

You don't have to make major contributions to be part of the WikiProject. Even if you go through articles in the project for now and check for spelling or grammar problems while you gain more editing experience. Once you gain more experience you could help improve sections of articles that are poorly written or find sections that should be deleted. Xtreme racer 11:31, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, any user can add a speedy deletion template; an admin will come along and delete the tagged article if the tagging is according to the speedy deletion criteria. Be sure that you are tagging for the right reasons though. - TwoOars (Rev) 22:04, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Answer to Question

As to how to start at WikiProject I am not sure but I would suggest your leave a proposal for the WikiProjects you wish to start here and other Wikipedia users will express their feelings about having such a project or if want you want to be a Wiki-Project is better suited to being a task force of another WikiProject. Hope this helps you. Xtreme racer 23:23, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your reversion to the ACLU article

With regard to this difference, yes, I'd say you did the right thing. The ACLU would oppose any organized prayers from any religion; it's just that it's usually Christians who are trying to organize these things.

Speedy Tagging

Hey there! This is a just a note to remind you that we have lots of speedy categories to help sort stuff. While it doesn't technically matter (in terms of getting it deleted for a random reason) which WP:CSD category you put it, it requires a lot more effort for our overworked admins to choose the correct reason themselves, than it does for them to simply use the template. This is in reference to Taylor corum (now deleted) which you tagged as patent nonsense - it was, in fact, about a non-notable person.

Keep in mind that if an admin does just use your template (which they might if they're in a hurry), and it isn't right, this can confuse the user who created it, especially if it was created in good faith. Great work though - we can never have too many new page watchers! Thanks, Ale_Jrbtalk 20:43, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your CSD tagging

It is considered a courtesy to notify the creator of an article that you've tagged their article for speedy deletion. This gives them the opportunity to respond and potentially develop the article into one that meets Wikipedia policies. This notification message can be delivered to the creator's talk page automatically if you use TWINKLE or by posting the correct template from Category:CSD warning templates. Thank you and keep up the good work, --Patar knight - chat/contributions 18:50, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FYI

Just a note - you don't have to create pages like User:Rosariox18 with the indefblocked template. The real reason for the template is so that the page will get eventually deleted - this is about less pages, not more. The note on the talk page was sufficient. If the user has already created a userpage, then you should replace the content with that template. Just FYI, no action necessary. Tan | 39 01:22, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, you use that template if they already have a userpage and they are then indefblocked. You can post any further comments here (and, for the record, you commented on my userpage - comments should go on talk pages, such as this one). Tan | 39 01:27, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • When you leave messages, please remember to "sign" your name, by putting ~~~~ (four tilde signs) at the end. This will add your name, and the date and time.
  • If it is your own, copyright-free picture, then please upload it at commons. You then add it to an article with code such as [[file:flower.jpg|thumb|This is a flower]] - that example creates a 'thumbnail' picture, as shown here.
  • For more help, you can either;

Hello. When you patrol new pages, all articles that you have looked at should be marked patrolled, whether you marked them for deletion or deemed them acceptable, unless you are not sure. This saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thank you. This greatly helps as it becomes possible to tell which articles have already been checked. Banned <> Blocked

I noticed you've put banned messages on several user pages such as [1] and here [2]. These users have been blocked indefinitely which is not the same thing as a ban. From Wikipedia:Banning policy: "Banning should not be confused with blocking, which is a technical mechanism used to prevent an account or IP address from editing Wikipedia. While blocks are one mechanism used to enforce bans, they are most often used to deal with vandalism and violations of the three-revert rule. As a social construct that is not enforced by the MediaWiki software, a ban does not, in itself, disable a user's ability to edit any page. However, users who violate a ban may have their account access blocked entirely, as a way of enforcing the ban.". You may want to change the messages. --NeilN talkcontribs 01:46, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed when you left the warning at Peyton Alverson's user talk page that you did not create a new section for the month when the vandalism occurred. It's generally a good idea to avoid confusion, particularly for ClueBot. Speedy deletion declined - User:Andrewlovez

I have declined your "vandalism" speedy deletion for this page - it seems to me perfectly acceptable for a user page, and I think to tag it as vandalism only one minute after creation by a new user was a serious biting of a newbie. I shall replace your warning with a welcome and apology, and hope this new editor has not been driven away. JohnCD (talk) 22:36, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's OK - it occurred to me later that you had maybe mistaken it for an article. It's an easy thing to do. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:22, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there!

I noticed that your userpage had formatting errors which broke a couple userboxes; I've taken the liberty of fixing that for you. I hope you don't mind.

Anyway, I saw that your adopter retired back in 2009; if there's still anything you'd like to learn, I'm an experienced Wikipedian with over 12,000 edits over the course of 30 months, and I've adopted a lot of users in my time here. Even if you don't want to be re-adopted, you're always free to contact me if you ever need any help.

One last thing: have you ever heard of rollback privileges? Rollback allows you to revert vandalism much, much faster than the "undo" button and, seeing as you've reverted quite a bit of vandalism in your time here, would probably be useful to you.

I look forward to your reply. Cheers, and happy editing! Dylan620 (tc) 05:06, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but the offer was nearly 7 months ago; now I have a very large amount of schoolwork/homework, meaning that I'm not active enough to support adoption. :( --Dylan620 (I'm all ears) 19:00, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. Thank you for reverting the personal attack on my talk page! To make things awkward, we both tried to revert it at the same time and I accidentally targeted your edit, and you got a very undeserved "no personal attacks" warning from me. Sorry about that and thanks again!! NickContact/Contribs 02:32, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Any particular was of alerting admins to these socks? SPI is too slow. I filed an AIV, but wasn't sure if there's another way. EvergreenFir (talk) Please {{re}} 04:01, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Attack pages

For an attack page like the one you just tagged, quite right to use WP:CSD#G10, but on the attacker's talk page better to use the stronger {{uw-attack}}. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 22:07, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Edit warring

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at United Kingdom withdrawal from the European Union shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.. Take it to talk.E.M.Gregory (talk) 16:59, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Apology

I see now that the other editor was just blocked. However, there are better approaches than repeated reverts.E.M.Gregory (talk) 17:01, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ohio Wikimedians User Group - Invitation

Hi Saturn star,

I'm Kevin, one of the founding members of the Ohio Wikimedians User Group. Created in July 2016, we're working to be a central group of Ohio Wikimedians who organize and support offline events, promote the Wikimedia movement in Ohio, build connections throughout our state, and above all, support each other. We already have a handful of members and have worked to support multiple events, including Wiki Loves Monuments in the United States and several Art+Feminism edit-a-thons at universities throughout Ohio.

I wanted to reach out to you and invite you to join the Ohio Wikimedians User Group. Being a part of the user group will allow easy communication between active Ohio editors, notifications of upcoming events in the Ohio area, and, if you're interested, the opportunity to help organize events such as edit-a-thons or workshops. Some notes:

  • All members receive a monthly newsletter with recent happenings, upcoming events, and more. Check out our April newsletter here.
  • This Thursday at 8:30 EST, we're having our first online meeting. Check out our meeting page here for more details, an agenda, and a section to sign up if you'd like to join us. Topics will include introductions and brainstorming for future projects.

Right now we have a Wikipedia Takes Columbus photo event going on, a Wiknic coming up this summer, and opportunities to attend the upcoming Ohio Private Academic Libraries Conference. If you're interested in joining us, feel free to add your name here - and feel free to reach out to me (or post on the user group's talk page) with questions or discussions. Thanks! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 07:29, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

about my edit on "call of the shofar"

hi please if you can put back my edit, this video link is the source for it, ty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbu3XZiMKx4&t=190s Memaleh (talk) 02:14, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Welcoming new users

While I appreciate the impulse to welcome new users who have not made any edits, the practice is generally discouraged for a number of reasons; even the welcoming committee discourages welcoming editors until they have edited. With Paige Poturalski, for example, you've given them a welcome template that 1) thanks them for their edits and 2) links to a page that contains zero edits. In addition, if you check the filter log, you can see that this editor has made repeated attempts to vandalise that has been caught by the abuse filter. If welcoming editors upon account creation was desirable, we would have a bot do it, but there has never been community consensus to do so. -- Ponyobons mots 23:26, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh ok, I'll be more careful. I don't always look so that's my fault. Saturn star (talk) 23:27, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No its fine, trust me. Saturn star (talk) 03:00, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Revert of article change

So you say that my edit was not neutral, which makes no sense. Taxation is indeed theft, as it forcibly deprives a person of their private property and imprisonment or more theft is typically used as means of punishing those who "evade taxation" (i. e., refuse to be robbed from).
