Warning

You have added content to two articles which is based on citations to articles written by you and published by Scientific research publishing, a predatory open access publisher. If you do this again, you will be blocked from editing for abusing Wikipedia for self-promotion. Guy (Help!) 08:47, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for pointing this out. I was devastated to hear that Scientific Research Publishing is considered predatory. My former well respected university paid for the open access under the terms of the grant we were given, the paper had at least one peer review and was reviewed as an acceptable journal by the person approving the funding.

The work is I believe an important addition to the body of Knowledge as it explains why some experiments show an unexplained loss of efficiency with certain Stirling Cycle heat engines.

Does anyone know a way to publish this work in a respected way? Having already published in a journal, other journals will not accept it, and it looks as if there is no method to publish in WiKi either. Rileyph (talk) 11:08, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As a more general point, just because something is published in a POA does not make it invalid. Is there a way for WiKi to support important work that has been published in a POA? Rileyph (talk) 11:11, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
