License tagging for Image:ISSC.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:ISSC.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:03, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

New GAA infobox

As i was saying the current {{Infobox GAA club}} doesnt really suit . My main changes to it would be to make the competions link the the canadian competions. If you could provide information on that it would be most helpful

  • Is their an All Canada sort of competion ? No, currently there is the Toronto C'ship and the Western one, and to date little effort has been made to combine both...
  • Do team in the wcc play against teams from any other place ?
    • Yes, but only those already mentioned in their local tournaments (Seattle men/ ladies, Ausie Rules teams'). The clubs here openly invite other clubs to tournaments here, but it tends only to be those mentioned above that make it to the Western tournaments. Calgary & Edmonton have sent teams to Montreal & Toronto for 7's tournies..
  • What competion do the toronto/eastern teams play in?
    • They call it the Championship, but they assumed they were the only canadian teams in existence until we connected with them in 2003. As of yet, the East feel their's is the real Canadian C'ship.
  • Does the idea of province really apply in canada?
    • No. Quebec (1 club) and Ontario (7 clubs) have team in the East, and BC (1 club) & Alberta (2 clubs) have teams in the west. It is all in a state of developmental flux, right now.. Talk of new clubs joining or being founded; trying to work out tournament formats that suit any new clubs... As far as Canada goes, east and west are entirely seperate. I'm concentrating on founding another club in the Vancouver area. Lots of things to think about... i.e. do BC teams play for BC c'ship? and same in AB? then two winners meet in WCC final? Or do we maintain the league type format? Keeps all teams involved until the final day of play???
  • Any suggestions you might have yourself?
    • I am full of ideas, but setting the tournament's in stone is something that is a long way off. We hope that in the next 2 or 3 yrs that there will be more teams here. Maybe, 2 or 3 more teams in Vanocuver alone (the pop' could easily support a handful of more teams...)

Have a look at User:Gnevin/sandbox and User:Gnevin/sandbox1 1st draft so to speak , still one of two problem with it such as if a club hasn't won a men but has won the ladies it causes errors , but thats for me to worry about . Make sure to reply one my User_talk:Gnevin so i know you replyed (Gnevin 23:39, 5 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Sorry only seen your message now ,make sure to reply at the bottom of the page so i get a notice message (18:11, 3 October 2006 (UTC))
As for a team beening in either east or west , the infobox will hide the un-used championship, sorry i didnt make that clear , have a look at User:Gnevin/sandbox7 (Gnevin 18:15, 3 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]
Would it better to make the box multipuropose by allowing the user too naming the championships ? (Gnevin 18:18, 3 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]
Someone who is entirely new to wiki and creates a page for a new club will generally put it in the Category:Gaelic Athletic Association clubs which i and others would notice and add the barebones infobox , which the user will then see and say hey thats cool, i'll fill that up (Gnevin 00:06, 5 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]
ps you might be interested in having a look and maybe even joining us over at WP:GAA (Gnevin 00:09, 5 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]

So I don;t use Wikipedia very often and honestly admit I have a tough time understanding how or where to write to respond to other users, when they have input that I want to hear more about. I did delete the "Notice of Deletion" in every page that it was noted, but I see now that that isn;t the right thing to do. I have wanted to have other wiki heads update the score-lines in articles about the Western Canada Division, but alas that hasn't been happening, and when I took a hiatus 3 years ago, not much has been done since. I hope to find more time in the future to record results and update/ modify articles, but I haven't got much time and am not very proficiant in the way of the wiki.

Hi. I noticed your edit summary at some articles to the effect of "The note-worthiness of an article, especially one that plots the results & scores of a sport in a developing region, will only be known in the future. Epeefleche, should I merge the seven Championship articles into". As to the first point, we generally only consider an article to be noteworthy once it has indicia of notability. See, e.g., WP:CRYSTAL. If the articles are deleted, you can always request a copy of the article be userfied for you, to use at such time as (if) the subject does become notable. As to your question (which I imagine was truncated), that would work (if it does work) only if there were a notable article to merge them into, but I'm not sure there is.--Epeefleche (talk) 22:28, 8 February 2012 (UTC)--Epeefleche (talk) 22:28, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
