There are a few things you'd have to do in order to show that the band meets WP:BAND. First off, the band would have to have received coverage in reliable sources such as a newspaper or a music website or magazine that we'd consider reliable. Examples of what would be considered a reliable source would be something along the lines of a review by a staff member of AllMusic, a review by a magazine such as Pitchfork, or a newspaper article such as this one. We absolutely must have this sort of coverage in order to show that a band passes notability guidelines. WP:PRIMARY sources such as press releases, band websites, or the like do not count towards notability. Also, be wary of blog sources, as most blogs do not count towards notability. It's mostly because the vast majority of them do not have an editorial board that is established enough for us to be able to verify them. If you want, you can run sourcing through Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard, a noticeboard full of people that can tell you if a source is usable or not.
