April 2020

Hello, I'm TheImaCow. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Ravichandran Ashwin, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. TheImaCow (talk) 07:00, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Krishna Kaul (Actor) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Krishna Kaul (Actor), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Ridiculous

Don't add ridiculous content like this again. If you can't tell the difference between pointless content and encyclopedic content, there's not much I can do to help you. This doesn't even meet the proper tone of an encyclopedia, since an encyclopedia wouldn't opine about how "hilarious" it thinks something is, since an encyclopedia doesn't think or have an opinion. Sort it out. WP:NPOV Cyphoidbomb (talk) 12:37, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, the bulk of the content you added from 17-24 June 2020 is problematic for one reason or another, but the main reason is that it is absolutely pointless for inclusion in an encyclopedia and you seem to be using the encyclopedia as an extension of the subjects' social media outlets, which is unacceptable. Also, please stop marking your edits as minor when they are not minor. Minor edits are basic cosmetic changes, like typo fixes, punctuation fixes, fixing capitalisation, fixing grammar, reverting vandalism. Changes that could not possibly be the subject of dispute. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ICICI Securities, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. promotional editing

Responding to the AfD deletion of ICICI Securities by entering the same article as a draft and then moving it to mainspace is an attempt to circumvent the community. It is not what would be expected of a good faith editor, but rather a promotional editor with an undeclared COI. Since this is your most substantial contribution, it is reasonable to ask whether you are a connected contributor, in which case you must declare the connection. Please see our rules on Conflict of Interest If you were writing this for pay or as a staff member of the organization, see also WP:PAID for the necessary disclosures.
