User talk:PigeonChickenFish/Archives/2023/April

I saw you do a fabulous job, as per usual, fleshing out a college preaident. This is another one that needs some help. Also, I can't submit anything until my 20 article backlog of submissions improves. Thanks for all your great work. Please make sure to do subjects that interest you! Please don't pet me drag you down any rabbit holes.FloridaArmy (talk) 00:24, 23 March 2023 (UTC) Also Draft:James Myles Hinton. FloridaArmy (talk) 00:40, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

I'm curious how this entry came about. We (the family of) been working on this for about a year. 2601:155:4380:7630:B4E1:9DAF:DBA2:BD8B (talk) 22:10, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
@FloridaArmy: Hey, I will check them out! I will also see if I can clear any of the pending too. Also I wasn’t able to find in-depth sources on Draft:Albert Henderson Wade Ross, which is the long pause on that one. If you have time and are able to search, it would be appreciated. I will keep looking too. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 00:48, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
I think his initals were often used. I will take another look. I think what's there is enough. Notable team. Notable building. Influential figure. FloridaArmy (talk) 01:17, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, I did a lot of looking with his initials and name variations (he did use both versions). Some of it could also be other systemic issues (which I won't go in details with here but I am sure you know), esp. with a long but common name. He should be notable for all of those reasons you mentioned, but WP has it's own bio requirements. Technicality Ross is meeting borderline notability within the article at this time (in my opinion), I am not sure it will pass AfC for that reason. I will keep working on it. I also tried Wilber Hooker and I thibk at least one source uses that spelling. FloridaArmy (talk) 03:48, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
I added a note to the talk page, this one has a name issue. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 06:09, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Life in contours

Since there was no way that an italicized header could be there, I had to come up with another name, but it’s more than that. I got your message the first time but now you made me see a significant part of the article that has been missing. It’s amazing. I’ll have to show you. After it’s done, I mean.

Re the list: I had more citations initially.

The tag says there are none. I have a question about that list. I was definitely going to cite each one of those but I read an help article within Wikipedia that mentions lists like these tend to sometime be a section to place too many citations. So I “under did” (?) it a little bit.

What I also took from that help article is, for instance, the very top exhibition has been established and cited within the article twice, but I still need to cite it correct? Or isn’t there a way I can point to at least one of those references within the article itself? I think I already know the answer to that maybe (?) I’m referring to something like a foot note or a “ see also,” but I don’t know.

I went and looked for examples of many artist’s exhibitions before I made thaf. Some have zero citations. Others have each one cited. It was hit or miss so it’s a bit nebulous for me.

So it was your request to get rid of quotations that has stabilized that article.

The related links are not moving around and are more in line with the article itself. I’m going have to show you why what you’ve done is so important. I have to prove it on another article.

It is what I was inspired to do that other article for a dissident human rights activist. It needed a lot of edits, so Ive sort of taken it on to correct all of it.

I’ll have to show you or even request you for an edit on another article after I finish it. No one was paying attention to it.Kkenya (talk) 18:25, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Also, you pointed out something about an exhibition. I realized it was the first time the award was handed out. It has never been mentioned in a good enough source that it even existed. The award was stopped because of the pandemic which I also inferred from a different pair or sources.  So I’m going to have to take that down because there is no one source but I’ll dig a little deeper first. Anyway  I would have to take four different sources and then have people try to figure it out that it was the first time the award was given out. I wanted to make a header out of that award itself because it’s in his name. I can’t do that either because of what I just mentioned. If I come up with something, I’m going have to ask you. I have to establish that the award exists first, if I can, which is important to the article itself. Thank you for all of this. I’ve been stuck for weeks, but it’s coming together, hopefully and it starts with you, so I do appreciate it. Kkenya (talk) 18:46, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

I put a quotes tag

This is a step up for me. I’ve had one issue for the tag that was on there when I arrived, and it was about the references. They weren’t linked. There is no hurry, but is this how to request to review a specific editor? This is an actually a formal request I guess but it could be. When I got there, just look like it was patchwork. Whenever news would come out they would put it on there. Or it was just created that way. The quotations are still insane even though I’ve edited a lot of them out. Cassey page

I saw you created the article for Peter William Cassey -- this is fantastic, thank you! Are you planning to make one for his wife, Annie Besant Cassey? If not, I was hoping to do so. Spartacus007 (talk) 18:16, 11 April 2023 (UTC)

Spartacus007 that would be great if Annie Besant Cassey had a page too! I was not planning any work on that, please feel free to add one. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 19:05, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
Fantastic. No promises on a timeline, but she's on my to-do list. Spartacus007 (talk) 21:20, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
