Debno is in former Brandenburg, but close to Pomerania. The authorities shifted the administrative borders around so you won't find the historical regions on the map (in East Germany, they did the same). You are right about the soil, Brandenburgian soil is famous for its bad quality and in Germany commonly known as "Streusandbüchse", which is an idiom you can roughly translate as "a tin filled with very fine sand". Maybe you find a proper Polish translation on the web. But I heard rumors that you can actually grow something on that soil anyway besides pine trees and heath. It was a technical mistake I wanted to copy the whole name but, by accident, I deleted it so I've put back the name that was next to it (I thought it was the right one). You can easily trace that looking at my later edtitions on that page. You schould also talk to that guy: 71.137.198.58, not to manipulate the data (he says none and there is 92 and 56!!!). From the title, your book is a compendium of Pomeranian knights (14th to 19th cts). The "Landesdirektor" was a chief bureaucrat of the provincial administrative apparatus in Prussian times. Thank you for inviting me, but before you start I need to inform you about some technical problems with the article you might not be aware of. The article is in trouble ever since its existence. A merge was (is?) proposed, a deletion was (is?) proposed, and the most recent discussion is at Talk:Expulsion of Germans after World War II#Somebody please put a stop to this insanity.... I agree with user:Llewelyn MT that the article somehow does not properly fit into the hierarchy, and proposed the topic be covered in German minority in Poland. I agree with both Llewelyn MT and you that the article as it is now is in bad shape.

So before you (we) put any effort in improving it, I think we should start a thread at the article's talk page, invite Llewelyn MT and see who else has a look, and determine if this article should be kept or where else the information should go.
