Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.

A few features that you might find helpful:

• Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
• The announcement and open task box is updated quite regularly. You can watch it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
• The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.

There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

• Starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines outline some things to include.
• Interested in working on a more complete article? The military history peer review and collaboration departments would welcome your help!
• Interested in a particular area of military history? We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, or periods.
• Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every military history article in Wikipedia.

Wow, after the reception that part got, I wasn't expecting someone to come around and defend the creationist viewpoint this much later. It's wierd how many people used the old "it's unscientific so take it off" argument when the whole thing was clearly under the popular culture heading. They keep saying it's unscientific while at the same time treating it as a scientific position, not as a view of some portions of the public. They want to have their cake and eat it too. Oh well, at least most of the people got that "subtlety". I added a slightly defferent version of the edit to the Neanderthal article on Creationwiki.org. Creationwiki has a page listing creation-evolution polls as well, if I remember correctly. (Now that I've said that Cwiki's going to get a new wave of vandals:/)

Oh, don't worry about it. Thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate it. Because we have a wiki where anyone can edit, the majority will always get their say as the number one. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
