This article needs to focus more narrowly.Wikipedia already has quite good articles for the general background, and for many aspects of New Testament studies, including the aspects covered here. But there would be place for an article focussed specifically on genre -- essentially, the second half of your article.

But please realise that this subject area tends to be somewhat controversial, and whatever the article says, you will need to deal with objections saying that it's biased (in any of many possible directions) or incomplete or redundant. Since it looks likethis is your first article on WP, I would advise you first to get some sense of what discussions here are like--look at the talk page of related articles.
