For future reference, you could have done it yourself.

1. In the editing history of the article click on the time stamp of the version you want to go back to (on this occasion 21:04, 9 January 2011), which will open that version.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab to edit the page.
3. Provide a suitable edit summary to explain what you are doing.

You're quite welcome. I have several sources for the bishops where I updated names and added dates.

1. For Bonaventura Madaliński from Hierarchia Catholica Medii Aevi, v. 5, p. 266, see pl:Bonawentura Madaliński.
2. For Hieronim Władysław Sanguszko from Hierarchia Catholica Medii Aevi, v. 4, p. 240, see v. 4, p. 318 and it:Diocesi di Smolensk and pl:Hieronim Władysław Sanguszko.
3. For Marianus (Cyprianus) from Hierarchia Catholica Medii Aevi, v. 3, p. 251, see Jan Kurczewski, Kościół zamkowy czyli katedra wileńska w jej dziejowym, liturgicznym, architektonicznym i ekonomicznym rozwoju, Nakład i Druk Józefa Zawadzkiego, Vilnius (1908), p. 322 (available from Google books) and pl:Biskupi sufragani wileńscy. Both give his year of death as 1594, though Kurczewski misprints the last period of his life as 1592-1584.
4. For Georgius Albinus from Hierarchia Catholica Medii Aevi, v. 3, p. 251, see Kurczewski and pl:Biskupi sufragani wileńscy. Again both agree that his year of death was 1570.
5. I didn't change Feliks, but both Kurczewski and pl:Biskupi sufragani wileńscy say that he preceded rather than followed Jerzy Albinus. Kurczewski cites him as titular bishop of Caffenus instead of Methonensis. See Hierarchia Catholica Medii Aevi, v. 3, p. 145.

Kurczewski also lists Jerzy Chwalczewski. I have found two Polish sources that imply that he was named titular bishop of Methonensis in 1525, but neither states this explicitly. Still searching. See also Hierarchia Catholica Medii Aevi, v. 3, p. 229.

I recently purchased paper copies of Eubel vols. 7 and 8. Catholic-hierarchy.org has most of the information from these volumes, but is weak on identifying Apostolic Vicars and Apostolic Visitors. Thanks for fixing my mistake, I've always thought they were different spellings of the same place. My grandfather is from one of those places, I need to check my sources. I think I've seen it spelled both ways in people's genealogy work, but amateur genealogy is notoriously inaccurate, of course. I take it both places are Black Sea German settlements? Eubel vol. 5 e vol. 6 indicano che Targa è in "Africa Proconsulari sub metrop. Carthiginen." Morcelli utilizza il nome Tagara non Tagarata. Targa sembra essere una versione errata di Tagara. Ho eliminato i duplicati, ma non riuscì a risolvere completamente la confusione. C'è davvero una sola sede latina prima del 1954. Eubel riporta Crespo y Bautista Arcen. in Phoenicia e Le Nordez Arcen. in Armenia. Tutti gli altri sono solo Arcen., e molto manca sul maroniti. Duiehi e Marid non sono elencati. I've been thinking about template Template:Castles in Latvia, which should be filled in, and a better way to distinguish those places which are in ruins from those preserved. I saw this in one of the lists (castles or manors, I don't remember). Let's discuss this with another User so we become three editing. Any suggestion of your preference ? I don't know about ruins vs. preserved, but I like the division into regions in the Latvian template. There are too many manors to lump them all together. We could divide by region, then subdivide by castle, palace, manor, ruins, etc. – Maliepa (talk) 14:34, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do we really need a collective template for all these objects? If we look at the website of the Association of the Castles, Palaces and Manors of Latvia, we can see that the former Daugavpils District alone has 39 entries in total. Are you sure, when new articles appear, it won't be too bulky? I think you're both correct. To have it separate by 5 cultural regions seems logic. As we're talking about history here, a "timeline" idea could also be added to the template. So let's leave the "ruins vs. preserved" to a better List of Castles and List of Palaces and Manors. Subdivide them how ?

Maybe we could first of all divide it into 5 templates, each containing all castles, palaces and manors of one of the culture-historical regions? I see your point, but the list(s) could be improved to distinguish those which are in ruins from those which are not, or under reconstruction, and even relate those which belonged to the Livonian Order from those that didn't, and that's something which could never be alocated in a template. Those lists should be bettered anyway. I beliwve 5 templates would be too much, once we have only castles, palaces and manors (this will be discussed in more detail on the template talk page. Others have the right to speak up their minds too). You see, Maliepa and I are playing a game... that is, I do something, he does something better, I then better what he did until he comes up with a better idea. You see, it's not only placing info on the articles, but making them more presentable. It has nothing to do with knowing more. It feels good to me when I learn from you. Show me more...:) ! I have also been trying to find a picture of the correct Daniel P. Walsh, who is a retired Coast Guard officer that also worked as a military aide in the George W. Bush and Obama White Houses. That is very interesting. Miller is a career reserve officer, and for a reserve officer be nominated for a fourth star extremely rare. There is only one known four-star position that follows a reserve officer pipeline and that's the Chief of the National Guard Bureau and currently General Lengyel still has two more years remaining and I haven't heard of him requesting for early retirement. U.S. Northern Command's deputy commander has been a reserve officer three-star since 2008 (also particularly from the National Guard), and there was once talk about making the commander of USNORTHCOM a four-star officer from the National Guard, but that never came to fruition. Even now, General O'Shaughnessy only assumed command of USNORTHCOM this past May, so that rules out that job going to Miller. Her career, staff positions and commands held, are pretty broad throughout her career, so I can't make heads or tails on what current-known four-star position she may be inheriting. My hunch is that they are opening up a new four-star position for her. I hope they announce something soon. It's killing my curiosity. Neovu79 (talk) 09:35, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

After doing a thorough review of the remaining four-star positions, so far I see one likely and two outside possibilities. Generals Ellen M. Pawlikowski and Carlton D. Everhart II and Admiral Kurt W. Tidd are all scheduled to retire. That makes U.S. Southern Command, Air Force Materiel Command and Air Mobility Command available. Out of the three, Air Mobility Command is the most likely destination for Miller, in my opinion. Miller has a lot of experience as a commander of reserve air forces, particularly in air mobility and airlift, which AMC encompasses. In the earlier part of her career, she's flown in a hand full of the aircraft AMC uses. But most importantly, a good portion of AMC is comprised of reserve airmen and Air National Guardsmen. I don't see anything new in this latest list. Many of them are already on Commons. I have chosen not to deal with judges, attorneys or marshals, so you'll have to find someone else for those. The images not already on Commons have ambiguous copyright status or, in one or two cases, are very low resolution. At least one image is no longer available.

Are you sure about this assignment? Because the Director, Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program has it's own statutory nomination designation. Usually their nomination would state The following named officer for appointment to the grade of admiral in the United States Navy while assigned to a position of importance and responsibility under title 10, U.S.C., section 601, title 42, title 50, U.S.C., section 2511 and U.S.C., section 7158 and not just 10, U.S.C., section 601. Also, the term for the director is eight years (albeit, at the pleasure of the President) and the current director is not even half way through his term. That's not to say that Burke isn't qualified to be the next director given his career in electrical engineering and nuclear propulsion, but it would still be highly unorthodox to remove the current director in the middle of his term. Only Admiral Richardson has ever had his term shortened as director, and this was due to being promoted to CNO. Since this is kind of more along the lines of a lateral move, I cannot see, why the Navy or the DoD would do this again, unless Caldwell is requesting for retirement. If Caldwell wanted to stay in the Navy, his term as director would far out-last many other four-star admirals who terms are usually 2 to 4 years. Actually USNAVEUR-NAVAF would also be my best guess given his career in the Atlantic area and in Europe. Admiral Foggo is scheduled to step down this year. The VCNO position is normally seen as a placeholder/transitional four-star position and they are usually move to one of the Navy's designated operating forces after 1 to 2 years as VCNO. Wow, I just seat the general officer nomination you posted in the List of active duty United States four-star officers. They ended up nominating a different officer for vice chief of the National Guard Bureau. The Senate returned Lieutenant General Tim Kadavy's nomination this past January. I'm very curious to know what he was investigated for, that caused his nomination to be under senatorial scrutiny since they let the nomination expire. The Army's been very quite on Kadavy. The only thing I can think of as to why his nomination failed, is because that he might have a history of being out of touch with the guardsmen who serve in the Army National Guard. Here was a convention with the National Guard Association of the United States in 2016 where then Chief of Staff, GEN Mark Milley was speaking and hosting a Q&A, and there were a few instances where he turns to Kadavy, who was sitting on the dais near the podium, and asked if he knew anything about the issues that guardsmen where speaking of, and he was oblivious to it. The candidate that sticks out to me, would be MG Richard F. Johnson as he has a long history working at the National Guard Bureau. Update: Kadavy retired on August 3, 2020 and was certified by either the President or the secretary of defense, to retire at his highest achieved rank of lieutenant general. Since the Senate didn't intervene into his retirement rank, that means, at the very least, whatever that was preventing him from becoming the VCNGB was not that serious, and leads me to believe that his blocked nomination was a little more political, than it was a personal question of his character or Army career. Also as a side note, the SECAF does not have the authority to unilaterally transfer a four-star officer to another service, without the officer first gaining presidential and senatorial consent via nomination process. The reason why General Raymond was authorized a transfer to the Space Force without going through that process, is because Congress and the President approved such a transfer via the NDAA 2020, specifically for him, as the commander of Air Force Space Command. Raymond also technically does not need to be renominated to be CSO as the NDAA 2020 stipulates that he must turn over command of USSPACECOM to a new commander, one year after its enactment. While the NDAA 2020 does not give a reason why, but my good assumption is because he will gain the additional responsibility of serving on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, one year after the the law's enactment. Furthermore, they would not nominate an officer from another service to the rank of general for a position that currently does not exist and before the position is submitted for creation. Congress would not approve paying an officer at O-10, while waiting for the VCSO position to be created in the NDAA 2021, as they already know it would be a complete waste of taxpayer money. @Maliepa: As I recall, I made major modifications to the article on Manning and perhaps the words "sister ships" was a poor choice of words. Reading the words in the Manning article today I can see that it does tend to lead the reader to believe that they were all of the same design. King merely mentions that they were built at the same time. The "sister ships" were all built in the same period but had features that were different in some respects. I have edited the Manning article differently. I would like your opinion on whether it is better worded or not. While the general characteristics of the five cutters were similar, all were of different construction and design except Algonquin and Onondaga. Gresham was the most similar to the Algonquin-class, but it was rigged as a barkentine and the Algonquin and Onondaga had a different sail plan. Thank you for your questioning this. That makes the Manning article more accurate. Thank you again for your interest in Coast Guard related articles, there are not many of us on Wikipedia with that interest.

The current version as it stands in the House (in section 502) is planning to elevate the grade of the vice chief of the National Guard Bureau to general. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give John William Heard a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into John W. Heard. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. @Engineerchange: Here are several that use Lycurgus instead of Lycurgis: [4], [5], [6], [7], [8]. And don't get me started on whether he was born in Washington, Indiana or Washington, D.C. Hey Maliepa, saw that you were editing War Industries Board and its people! What got you on the topic out of curiosity? I've been researching it a lot myself lately, but still confused by the usage of "priorities board" vs. "priorities committee" (I feel like its inconsistent in places), the board's connection/association to the National Defense Council (is it adjacent, is it part of), and its intersection with other groups, like labor. I do think there are enough members to allow for a category of people on Wikipedia now. @Engineerchange: Lately I've been concentrating on adding photographs to military biography articles without any and then adding additional biographical details. During that process, I saw the photograph of Rear Adm. A. V. Zane of the priorities committee on Commons with an unidentified Army major general sitting next to him. Curiosity then took over. I had already encountered Zane while researching the Rodgers and Stoney Arctic expeditions.

The War Industries Board references indicate that the priorities division had both a board and a committee with Judge Parker as chairman of both and many of the same members on each. One set policy and the other ironed out details. The 1919 organization reference that I found and added mostly refers to divisions and committees with little mention of division boards. @Engineerchange: I filled out the Wikidata items for Zane and Rear Adm. W. L. Howard when I was researching Stoney, but I'm not sure that a full article on English Wikipedia can be justified for either, though Howard already has a French Wikipedia entry. He was captain of a battleship kept in reserve during World War I and didn't become a rear admiral until after the war. FYI, I just created a Wikidata item for Frank A. @Engineerchange: I was wrong. The latest reference that I found shows that the only common member between the priorities board and the priorities committee was Judge Parker.
