ho hum

thanks for finding an error, happy new year, etc. so few persons have ever queried my talk page editing in the last x years, I appreciate the attention.... JarrahTree 13:08, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

while we were on the subject are you aware of anything about the ORES replacement at all? The reading of meta official standard version of things seems to say it will be whatevered in the near future - however there seems to be (unless I have been reading the wrong links) little about the process of change and how it will be implemented... JarrahTree 13:16, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

Sorry I have no idea about ORES. Perhaps Qwerfjkl knows something? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 14:49, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
JarrahTree, as I understand it, ORES itself won't change, it's just how you query it that will change. — Qwerfjkltalk 16:19, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

Category:Vital articles in an unknown topic by quality

Hello, MSGJ,

Just wondering if it was okay to tag this article and its contents for CSD C1. I'm not sure what the guideline is with this reorganization on what stays and what's up for review and deletion. Thanks! And happy holidays! Liz Read! Talk! 19:31, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

Or Category:Needed-Class articles as well. Liz Read! Talk! 19:48, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
Eventually I would like to get rid of these, but I think they are still in use for now — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:20, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

that caused a conflict in the ratings, please choose Start-class or C-class but not both

Hi. In your revert you wrote: "that caused a conflict in the ratings, please choose Start-class or C-class but not both"

But I don't understand: what conflict? what both? Thanks. Johnjbarton (talk) 18:07, 31 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi John. If you study your change you will see that you set |class=start in the banner shell, but |class=C in the physics project. Physics uses the standard assessment scale, so should not have a separte/different rating. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 18:15, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. I used Rater, it seems to handle this case poorly. If the two settings are not independent, the UI shouldn't allow separate setting :-( Johnjbarton (talk) 18:53, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
Sorry I still don't understand. I looked at the markup
{{Vital article|class=Start|level=5|topic=Science|subpage=Basics}}{{talk header}}{{physics|class=start|importance=high}}
Are you saying that the two values set to "start" has always to be changed in tandem? Johnjbarton (talk) 18:59, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
Yes, per WP:PIQA all ratings should be the same. The best way is to move the rating to the banner shell and then remove it from the separate banners (example). Then if you want to re-assess the article you only need to change it in one place — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 19:04, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for the fix. I'll try to remember this tip. Johnjbarton (talk) 02:32, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
Ok I'm trying to learn this system, but I've not gotten it yet.
On Talk:Equivalence principle I updated the WPBS to have class setting, then applied Rater. The result was duplicate lines and a red conflicty thing. I reverted the Rater change.
Should I avoid the Rater change feature? Something else?
The other puzzle is that the WPBS on that page and others has "1=" but it not discussed on Template:WikiProjectBannerShell. Or class= for that matter :-( Any hints? Johnjbarton (talk) 02:44, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
Hi John, yes I believe there are still a few issues with Rater. You may wish to review/comment at User talk:Evad37/rater.js#Move article quality rating into banner shell. The |1= is not required but will not affect the behaviour of the template. |class= is mentioned, but if you can improve the documentation at Template:WikiProject banner shell/doc then please do so! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 19:50, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

Fixed mistake

Hi MSGJ, thank you for correcting my mistake in assessment of the Croatia at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships article. To answer your question in the edit summary, I rated it as stub class due to it's information being 7 years out of date and there not being much content, however upon re-reading the assessment criteria (I am quite new to this), I understand that the article has the requirements for a start class article, and I should have assessed it as start class to remain consistent with the previous assessment. It is a wonderful world (talk) 18:59, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

No worries. Happy new year to you! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 19:46, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

probably the wrong place to ask - but how to start editing? GillyMR (talk) 08:07, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi GillyMR, a good place to start might be The Wikipedia Adventure. What type of articles are you interested in? Let me know if I can help with anything. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 13:38, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
thank you. I'm thinking of starting with basic editing (typo's etc) to begin with. Interests are textiles, horses, food... GillyMR (talk) 14:29, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

My mistake on Talk:Ding Hao

Really sorry for my mistake, and thanks for helping correct it! Would you suggest Start for this article? It seems quite marginal, and no sections with prose, but content seems sufficient. If yes, please help me remove the stub tag too. Sorry for my inability to judge the assessment! Timothytyy (talk) 12:39, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

It's borderline but I think it has moved past Stub. There is more than the minimum amount of content and it seems to be well referenced, so Start looks appropriate to me. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:13, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
Noted with thanks! Timothytyy (talk) 22:45, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

"Harmonize ratings"

Please STOP doing this. The whole point of the ratings system is to allow different ratings, for importance but also for quality, for different projects. Otherwise there would be no need for each project to have the space for different ratings, would there? Johnbod (talk) 17:24, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Please see WP:PIQA — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 17:47, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Is is this an issue? I can fix the class so that it's moved correctly, but it wouldn't be as easy to keep the invisible comment. — Qwerfjkltalk 17:05, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Obviously the class is needed. I personally would not have an issue with the invisible comment, but other editors may prefer you to keep them in — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 17:49, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

I got excited when I saw you were already on "4". But then I saw the "." ! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:57, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
While I was looking through the bot's edits, I saw Talk:.41 Swiss. This seems to have conflicting classes, but it's not in Category:Articles with conflicting quality ratings. Any idea why? — Qwerfjkltalk 09:34, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
I created a category to track these (Category:Articles using WikiProject banner shell with empty class parameter) but it's not working yet. Basically it needs to look when the class parameter is empty and then check the rest of the page to see if class is defined in some other banner. I'll try and get that fixed soon. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:52, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
I think I have fixed this in the sandbox. To be clear, the class is not tracked as conflicting unless the PIQA class is actually defined and conflicts with one of the project ratings. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:10, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Do you think Template:WikiProject Linguistics and Template:Etymology section should be merged? There are currently 8 pages that have both templates.

On a related note, it's strange that Template:Etymology section isn't placed in Category:WikiProject banners with non-standard names or that those pages aren't in Category:Pages using WikiProject banner shell with duplicate banner templates. Gonnym (talk) 08:17, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Tracking categories for articles that require performing WP:PIQA

Is it possible for us to create categories to track articles that need to perform WP:PIQA containing the following types?

Kanashimi (talk) 21:59, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

Yes of course. I will copy your message to Template talk:WikiProject banner shell if you don't mind — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 23:26, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
Sure. Kanashimi (talk) 23:34, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

|blpo=

How should my bot handle this? See e.g. Special:Diff/1195670166 for how it handles it currently. For now I've modified the code so that it won't modify blp/living if blpo is present, to avoid conflicts. — Qwerfjkltalk 20:56, 14 January 2024 (UTC)

Well blp and blpo are not both required, but I'm not sure which one should take precedence — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:52, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm just going to leave blpo alone for now. — Qwerfjkltalk 17:24, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

Template:Script doc auto

Hi, I'm thinking of adding some features to to {{Script doc auto}}, eg. showing a note above gadget js pages to indicate which gadget the page belongs to, how many users the gadget has, etc. However, this is full-protected and is also listed on Wikipedia:Cascade-protected items. Wondering if you can lower the protection to TPE? It is used on the interface (MediaWiki:Clearyourcache), but only on top of script pages, so not sure if it counts as widely seen. – SD0001 (talk) 14:34, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

I think if it's in the interface then it's supposed to be fully-protected. But if you ping me when ready I can copy changes across? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:18, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
I've requested the edits at Template_talk:Script_doc_auto#Protected_edit_request_on_26_January_2024 and MediaWiki_talk:Clearyourcache#Protected_edit_request_on_26_January_2024. – SD0001 (talk) 09:32, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

Assistance with a new wikiproject

With all your expertise, Martin, you might be able help out with the new Wikipedia:WikiProject Electronic literature. Those who have created the project do not have very much experience with Wikipedia but would like to provide a sound basis for future expansion. As you can see from the project's talk page, there are two items which require attention:

  • The automatically created Category:Unknown-importance Electronic literature articles and Category:NA-importance Electronic literature articles need to be populated.
  • It would be useful to introduce automatic stats on article quality assessment (i.e. without importance) along the lines of WP Women or WP Norway.

Maybe creating facilities for quality assessment will resolve the category problems and also article alerts. I could try to work on this myself but would like to avoid any unintentional side effects. As up now there are only about 200 articles in the project, it should be easy to cover their quality assessment, in particular by including Class ratings in the banner shell environment. It would really be appreciated if you could help us out with these developments. But just let me know if you are tied up with other priorities.--Ipigott (talk) 10:29, 1 February 2024 (UTC)

Module:Pagetype

FYI, after your changes to Module:Pagetype, we are now getting transclusions of missing sandbox and testcases pages like this one when someone makes an edit request. Probably not a huge deal since these requests should not be permanent, but I thought I would let you know. I fixed a larger problem here by simply flipping the logic of the "ifexist" and "is redirect" checks. Some other ones that just popped up that may be related are here and here which I think are caused by the banners on the archive pages. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 14:32, 1 February 2024 (UTC)

I see the same thing with a new transclusion of Template:Anchor/Archive index that wasn't there before. seems related. Frietjes (talk) 16:32, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
I think you check for title.exists first? Frietjes (talk) 16:34, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
Does an exists check also cause a transclusion to be recorded? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 16:39, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
no, at least when I tested it this version and tested here. Frietjes (talk) 16:46, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
Okay, should be an easy fix then — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 16:47, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
I added an exists check at Module:Pagetype/sandbox#L-115 but according to my tests, it is still transcluding the subject page when it doesn't exist — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:11, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
I moved the check up, before the namespace and subpageText tests and that seems to work. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 14:16, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
I think my version did work actually - my sandbox still shows a link but not a transclusion, so I think this should be okay — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 18:50, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
Yes, seems fine. I added that to the main module. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 14:04, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

Women articles with WPBS quality conflicts

I believe that some time ago, Martin, you asked me to help with women articles presenting conflicts. I believe there was a category on which this was based but all I could find was Category:Articles with conflicting quality ratings with over 20,000 entries. Can you help?--Ipigott (talk) 09:48, 5 February 2024 (UTC)

At the moment, there is no way of breaking these down into different projects. (I don't think I recall what I asked you.) But that sounds like a good idea, for those projects that wish to help out. I will explore further and update with any progress. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 10:10, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
It works very well for NPP, see User:SDZeroBot/NPP sorting/Culture/Biography/Women. Maybe your original request came so early on that it was possible to go through the list simply looking for women's names. I would certainly be happy to work on any conflicts associated with WP Women or WP Women's History.--Ipigott (talk) 15:12, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
Ipigott, you could try something like this PetScan query which uses category intersection with WikiProject Women in Red (feel free to swap out Women in Red for any other appropriate wikiproject), or this PetScan query which uses the wikidata property female (Q6581072). — Qwerfjkltalk 16:05, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
Unfortunately Special:Search/incategory:"Articles with conflicting quality ratings" articletopic:women doesn't seem to work. — Qwerfjkltalk 16:07, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
The PetScan query works brilliantly, thanks Qwerjkl. It might be worth asking all active projects to have a look through these. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:26, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

Question from Tumbleweed Spirits (02:02, 10 February 2024)

I was going through the list of distillers in canada and didnt see our name there so wanted to edit to add our distillery and information as a first time user

Mike --Tumbleweed Spirits (talk) 02:02, 10 February 2024 (UTC)

I found List of breweries, wineries, and distilleries in Manitoba but not sure which article you are referring to. Are you considering writing an article, or just adding an entry to an existing list? In general, we request that editors do not edit in areas where they have a conflict of interest, but there are processes you can use such as WP:AFC. Also, just a word of warning that your username may fall foul of our policy that says all accounts must be for individuals not companies or organisations — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:22, 11 February 2024 (UTC)

Etymology Task Force

Hi, I opted out Template:Etymology section of WP:PIQA since it only uses classes like |class=Incomplete but I don't know how the /class page would go since the categories are in the format 'Articles with (class) etymologies'. Can you have a look please. Thanks! -- Nintendofan885T&Cs apply 12:09, 12 February 2024 (UTC)

Sorry I have no idea what to do with that template. We could ask @Mr. Stradivarius or try posting on Module talk:WikiProject banner — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:42, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
Can I ask if the template was not working correctly in its previous state, and what you were trying to achieve? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 14:24, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
It was working but I noticed Cewbot was migrating them to the banner shell if it counted as the majority rating e.g. Special:Diff/1204347786, Special:Diff/1204913218 and Special:Diff/1205131265 that I fixed. --Nintendofan885T&Cs apply 22:01, 13 February 2024 (UTC)

WiR

While I was only tangentially involved with the WiR TfD, I am glad to see that you have been able to find a solution that will hopefully make everyone happy. Primefac (talk) 08:10, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Not really! We have made a little progress but no real consensus on the main issue of merging banners. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 13:11, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
I see you recently added {{WIR}} → {{WikiProject Women in Red}} to Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser/Template redirects, which was reverted because the rules on that page don't work on talk pages. Presuming there is consensus to add the template to {{WPBS}}, then you could add a rule to User:Magioladitis/WikiProjects, which is a great custom module to use when editing talk pages. GoingBatty (talk) 02:56, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for the note, I hadn't noticed the revert. I will look at that page. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 05:34, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

Re: Soft redirects

Sorry if I am rushing you and you had a plan to do this, but is making soft redirects assess as redirect technically feasible or nah? I wasn't sure from the conversation. I really hope it is because it is real annoying to run into these when trying to review unassessed ones. PARAKANYAA (talk) 12:56, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Sorry I haven't done this yet, but I haven't forgotten. I think I need to modify Module:Class mask to use the new pagetype module — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 14:53, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Question from DerekMuttley (21:13, 22 February 2024)

Hello there,

I'm wanting to make a page for "Tales of the Borders' and have made a start. It's at Draft:Wilson's Tales of the Borders.

I am a trustee of the Wilsons Tale Project, and whilst Wilson has a page, as have some other editors, there is no page dealing with the actual publication. A couple of questions is my draft suitable for publishing? The Project has more information about editions, printers, content and so forth. Much is not available online, for we have become 'the source' for these things by dint of the research. I take it that it will be acceptable to quote the WTP site and material as a reference.

Any help, comments, critique and such would be good. I/we will move on to the existing page about Wilson once the editing shoes have been made to fit. A few clips from his autobiography could shed much light on the man. --DerekMuttley (talk) 21:13, 22 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi Derek. Not yet ready for publishing. The main thing missing is to give references which show it has received significant coverage from multiple third-party reliable sources. Please see WP:GNG for more details. Also, a bit more structure to the article (e.g. sections, infobox) would improve it. Good luck — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:48, 22 February 2024 (UTC)

Question from Dancbmac (08:03, 24 February 2024)

Hello Martin, I am a newby and was wanting to add my name with 2 citations supporting my information on the “List of recipients of the Legion of Merit” Wiki page. One citation is the National Archives Database and the other is “military times Hall of Valor” I haven’t attempted editing yet as I saw on my page to contact my mentor first. Thanks, Dan McKinnon --Dancbmac (talk) 08:03, 24 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi Dan. A couple of points:
  1. You will notice from that page, that every person who has an entry (apart from a couple of instances which probably shouldn't be there) already has an article on Wikipedia. When we say "The following are notable recipients within the award" the word "notable" means that they have been shown to meet the general notability guideline, which the vast majority of people in the world do not.
  2. In general we ask people not to make edits when they have a conflict of interest. Instead you can make a request on the article's talk page, using the template {{Edit COI}}
Let me know if you have questions — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 14:03, 24 February 2024 (UTC)

Question from Seacorals (17:33, 29 February 2024)

Hi, I think I might have publicly published my sandbox by accident. I only meant it to be a draft. Or am I the only one who can see it? --Seacorals (talk) 17:33, 29 February 2024 (UTC)

It's at User:Seacorals/sandbox - not published yet! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 17:36, 29 February 2024 (UTC)

Where is the rating conflict and what does it conflict with? Cause I'm not seeing it Snickers2686 (talk) 15:46, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

This is the state you left it in — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 16:20, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

Question from Magnificent451 (20:02, 2 March 2024)

Hi, how do I edit an article and it's headings? Every time I try to edit an article, it just shows the introduction with no headings --Magnificent451 (talk) 20:02, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

Hmm, not sure what's going wrong for you. Which article were you trying to edit? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:10, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
Magnificent451: You may be clicking on the "edit" link for the first section of the page instead of the "edit" link for the entire article. Look for an "edit" link that is a bit lower on the page. It might say "Edit source". – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:56, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Oh, got it! Magnificent451 (talk) 13:35, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

WIR navigation problem

I have just noticed that the navigation buttons at the top of each event page are no longer operable and hope you will be able to fix them. For example, see #1day1woman. Oronsay (talk) 19:42, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Oh wow, that is bad. Let me see what's happened ... — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 19:53, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Caused by an edit to Template:Clickable button which I have reverted. Thanks for letting me know — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:04, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
All good now. Thanks so much for your prompt action. Oronsay (talk) 22:04, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Translated template inside or outside banner shell?

In reviewing the talk page of Signe Barth, I've just noticed you moved the translated template outside the banner shell. I have consistently completed it inside the shell as it then displays "large" and can be seen more easily than the little box tucked away on the lower right. I've now added "small=n" which actually produces unnecessary additional text but displays correctly for me, even when it is outside the shell. If there are strict rules about this in regard to the banner shell, it would be useful to know where to find them. I would actually prefer to be allowed to include the simple translated template inside the shell. In fact it seems to be an additional extra provided the edit comment on the article's creation refers to the "translation" but I find it useful and recommend it to others. See Help:Translation.--Ipigott (talk) 13:30, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

My understand is that {{WikiProject banner shell}} is only for WikiProject banners. Other banners can be put inside {{banner holder}} but this is only generally used when there are an extreme number of banners. In this case, it is better outside of any shellk I think. I agree that the |small=no version looks better though. I may suggest that becomes the default — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:08, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
There must already be some mechanism which produces the large text version if the template is inside the banner shell. It is particularly useful when the template has been placed at the top of the page rather than below the wikiproject templates. As it works fine, why can't it simply be permitted? You always seem interested in saving space on talk pages. The best solution would therefore be to facilitate the large text without the unnecessary "Consult the history of the original page to see a list of its authors."--Ipigott (talk) 12:24, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

Wear bridges

Elvet Bridge, Durham

Thanks, Martin, for your wonderful expansion of List of crossings of the River Wear. Quite an achievement. Many of the photographs bring back fond memories of my early years in that part of the world. I see there's scope for List of crossings of the River Tyne which is sadly still missing. All I've done myself along these lines is List of castles in Luxembourg - which could probably benefit from a degree of updating. I see nevertheless that it gets almost 30 page views a day---Ipigott (talk) 15:24, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind words. We do have a list of crossings at River Tyne#River_crossings but it is lacking detail and photographs, so perhaps I will create List of crossings of the River Tyne one day. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 17:38, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
Yes, I noticed the summary coverage in the River Tyne article but it's no comparison to your Wear listings. I really hope you can soon find time to start on the Tyne. As we now have detailed lists on both the Wear and the Tees, it would be a pity if we could not provide a similar list for the Tyne. Maybe Cakelot1 could also help.--Ipigott (talk) 13:41, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Here's a start: Draft:List of crossings of the River Tyne — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:36, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Amazing! Isn't this sort of thing more fun than banner shell development?--Ipigott (talk) 12:32, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

draft instructions

Hi Martin, I am working on the draft instructions for creating events for WiR Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Ideas#Checklist for updates of virtual meetups. I won't be able to actually see if they work until March 20. Meanwhile, if you see any egregious errors (or just plain weird wording), please feel free to edit. You can see it is written by an non-coder for non-coders. Thanks. WomenArtistUpdates (talk) 02:34, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

Okay I'll take a look — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:37, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
I made a few suggestions and I will check back later. By the way I have been playing around with the buttons and adding some color. What do you think?

Question from Midewrights (10:55, 9 March 2024)

Good morning mentor ,please how do I go about editing,I just created my account today --Midewrights (talk) 10:55, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi. You could read Help:Editing or just find an article that you think could be improved and have a go! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:21, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

After Special:Diff/1214378056, Template:Not-PD-US-expired-min-year is no longer "used" on MediaWiki:Licenses. To clarify: I don't know how UI for editing the protection settings works – I'm interested in removing the misleading line "used on MediaWiki:Licenses" from the top of the protection log. Would you mind reverting/adjusting/whatever the Special:Diff/1214370597? —andrybak (talk) 22:57, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

I've put it back down to template protection. Thanks for the note — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:24, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

Question from Jaquezux (12:31, 21 March 2024)

Hi Martin! Hope you are doing fine! I just translated the Little Nightmares III page into Portuguese, but I can't publish it due to "linking to Youtube", but I'm not mentioning any links to youtube (or other external website) in my translation. Could you help me, please? --Jaquezux (talk) 12:31, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

This may be an issue with the edit filter on the Portuguese Wikipedia. I see the "youtube" is mentioned in the article, so perhaps that is triggering an edit filter. I suggest you take note of the message displayed when you try to make the edit, and then post at pt:Ajuda:Tire suas dúvidas for assistance there — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:38, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Actually there was a reference to YouTube, which I have just removed. Perhaps you can try the same with your translation — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:41, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
