User talk:LordSidiousOfPeru

January 2023

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Juliaca massacre. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Do not engage in a move-war over the name of a page. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:13, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Blaze Wolf. I noticed that you recently removed content from Peru without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:39, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Peru First, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 19:34, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @HapHaxion. I am a Spanish speaker and the correct translation for Perú Primero is First Peru, not Peru First. It is something very simple and would not enjoy extending this into a discussion when the translation is the accurate one. Have a good day. Belén García Mendoza moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Belén García Mendoza, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 14:38, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

do you have a source? Panam2014 (talk) 21:45, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppetry allegation

Hi - please see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Búfalo Barreto, where your input would be appreciated. Girth Summit (blether) 08:57, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Búfalo Barreto per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Búfalo Barreto. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

{{unblock | reason= I have reviewed the reasons for why you have blocked me and I would like to appeal, since I have no relation to the other account rather than just being from the same country. I have not had the chance to speak or defend myself. I have started editing in Wikipedia since last year in July, and I believe this is unfair as there has not even been a discussion here. [[User:LordSidiousOfPeru|LordSidiousOfPeru]] ([[User talk:LordSidiousOfPeru#top|talk]]) 17:08, 18 July 2023 (UTC)}}

Seriously - you're still denying it? Why, what are you trying to achieve? I don't think you're the same person because of the country you live in - you should read WP:Checkuser. Girth Summit (blether) 17:12, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I corroborated that the user by the name Bufalo Barreto lives nearby as I have tracked the range of the IP address. I would not like exactly disclose where I live for private reasons, but for this occasion I deem it necessary. I live in the Breña District, very close to the headquarters of the APRA party, which makes me believe that this other account is strongly linked to the political party in question, because the account's username is the name of a historical figure of this party. I am trying to act in good faith here. If I have acted in bad faith when editing other articles, I apologize, but I am not linked to this account or have "sockpuppetted" as alleged initially. I have created articles on Peruvian issues for which I have been thanked since I started editing last year in July, and some other edits I have tried doing my best in citing my sources, but again, if I acted wrong based on some edits, I apologize. I kindly request the unblock based on the information I am providing. LordSidiousOfPeru (talk) 20:22, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

 Confirmed to Búfalo Barreto. Also  Confirmed to MartinGallardoGarrath, which I will go block now. This is not a coincidence, this is not just based on you living in the same general area. The confirmation is as unambiguous as I've seen. Yamla (talk) 20:46, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Deletion discussion about Santiago Bedoya Pardo

Hello, LordSidiousOfPeru, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Rkieferbaum, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Santiago Bedoya Pardo, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Santiago Bedoya Pardo.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Rkieferbaum}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
