License tagging for Image:Wagner-opera.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Wagner-opera.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:13, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

I have corrected this problem, but please check to make sure that the tag I added is accurate. Thanks. Briangotts (Talk) (Contrib) 21:13, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is, indeed, correct. Great thanks. King Óðinn The Aesir 19:38, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Norse history and culture wikiproject

Wikipedia:WikiProject Vikings and Wikipedia:WikiProject History of Scandinavia both appear to be defunct at this point. I would like to set up a new Wikiproject to oversee articles on ancient and medieval Scandinavian and Nordic history that would cover what these inactive projects used to. There are literally hundreds of great articles on obscure sagas, historical figures and the like (largely through the efforts of such users as User:Berig and User:Wiglaf). Since you have edited many Norse-themed articles in the past, I would be interested in your thoughts on how best to proceed. --Briangotts (Talk) (Contrib) 21:36, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please check out this new wikiproject, and sign up if you are interested. No contribution is too small! Briangotts (Talk) (Contrib) 14:53, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Started work on this article, and will add more later. If you're able and willing, I could use a hand with expansion, refs, etc. Briangotts (Talk) (Contrib) 21:33, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to vote

You as someone who participated in the editing of English people article might be interested in taking part in this discussion. Feel free to state your opinion. M.V.E.i. 16:41, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While I agree with your comments, they need a citation, or else it falls under WP:NOR. --Scottandrewhutchins 22:25, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

your RfA

I removed your "RfA", as it was malformed. Please follow the instructions. Thank you. J-ſtanTalkContribs 18:55, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And your suggesions on improving the request are? I find it odd that no one will explain to me what I have missed. King Óðinn The Aesir (talk) 21:04, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent RfA

I'm sorry, but I've closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you've only got 115 edits on Wikipedia; while edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards that they judge RfA candidates by, there was no chance that the RfA was going to pass.

I'm sorry about this, and hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I'm confident that you could possibly run a successful RfA in the future. You may want to consider submitting yourself to Wikipedia:Editor review for feedback on where to get some good experience, and when you're ready for RfA again, there's a great Wikipedia:Admin coaching program for you to use, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.

If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! EVula // talk // // 23:27, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, EVula. You were delightfully polite and helpful. King Óðinn The Aesir (talk) 13:17, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A new FAC vote which may interest you. Briangotts (Talk) (Contrib) 19:58, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name

Just wanted to note, it should be the Áss or Ǫ́ss, as Æsir is plural. LokiClock (talk) 10:20, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
