Naane Varuven

Hey could you also expand the article for the Dhanush starrier Tamil film Naane Varuven? Theoder2055 (talk) 17:24, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

@Kailash29792: I think so we don’t need to expand the article too much. But I don’t why do we need to expand this article too much. Some IP editor is adding so much of extra information but only the necessary information needs to be added right?

No such rule. If you feel the article is becoming too big, separate articles can be created.

Hi please intervene in the above article stop his Wikishovel nonsense, and false alarms. This is not the first time he is doing it, this has become a habitual to him nominating speedy deletions, and creating double work to other editors. (talk) Fostera12 (talk) 13:24, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Link

Can you generate two new links for the Gen Y Cops and Abitha films from [1]? DareshMohan (talk) 23:57, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't what you're talking about. But I fixed the link at Devadasi. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:26, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Gen-Y Cops is a film reviewed by The New Straits Times. The review is directly to the left of the Devadasi review. Wondering how you were able to change the link? DareshMohan (talk) 06:54, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
DareshMohan, just by hovering around. — Kailash29792 (talk) 07:03, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ayalaan

Hey,
We don't take box office figures from TOI per WP:ICTFSOURCES, right? Other than the uncontroversial stuff like movie reviews, TOI is considered to have unreliable to not reliable when it comes to films and especially BO. And they have used sources like Sacnilk for reports in the past. Hence TOI is taken with caution. I'm sure you are aware of this already and that is why I spent a considerable deal of time reverting the BO of the movie in like 4 to 5 articles.
Also, reviews aren't per se positive. Most of them are mixed to negative. That is not SYNTH. Sources like TOI, HI etc are all putting it between 2.5 to 3, which is mixed. I din wanna revert you since we both have been around for quite a while.
Lemme know if I'm missing out anything. Thanks and happy editing :) — The Herald (Benison) (talk) 03:15, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Judging critical consensus based on your own observation rather than established facts borders on WP:OR and WP:SYNTH. TOI's BO info can be excluded if it directly attributes Sacnilk. But TOI isn't outright unreliable for general film-related info. Only highly sensitive, political info. If you find another source saying 'mixed reviews', please add it. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:44, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, cool. Lemme give it a go. This uncertainty is the reason why I try to stay clear of TOI, unless I have absolutely no other source. Thanks and have a good day :) The Herald (Benison) (talk) 03:50, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Video source

Can I use this source where the director himself mentions that Mohanlal is in Chanakyan [2]? @Anishvishwa:@Aadirulez8: Do you understand Malayalam? DareshMohan (talk) 06:36, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Let those who know Malayalam take care of this. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:08, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was just wondering if YouTube sources are reliable. You used one at Michael Madana Kama Rajan#Cast. Sadly, I don't know any users that know Malayalam or respond on their talk page. DareshMohan (talk) 20:34, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I believe using text-based articles as reference, because they can be archived easily and as this is English space of Wikipedia, English article would be suitable. Yes, I know Malayalam, but by just watching the video and making a good faith edit won't be verifiable in future, let's say if the video is taken down.
So, I believe text article is more reliable and go to option.
Thanks, Aadirulez8 (talk) 09:56, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
YouTube videos can be archived using Wayback Machine and Ghostarchive... mostly. Try it. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:57, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Per Talk:Bootcut Balaraju, YouTube interviews from newspapers are reliable while smaller YouTube accounts aren't. DareshMohan (talk) 08:21, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Beebo the God of War

On 25 March 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Beebo the God of War, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the titular character in "Beebo the God of War" was inspired by Tickle Me Elmo? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Beebo the God of War. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Beebo the God of War), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
