I wish to edit my biography as I have now obtained all the relevant references i.e.
newspaper articles, tv/film references, awards, albums etc.
For some reason I have been blocked for threats which I would never take part in.
I just want an accurate posting as I am sure you do. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Kaaren Ragland (talk) 08:21, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Kaaren Ragland. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Kaaren Ragland, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Kaaren Ragland) for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Isabelle Belato 🏳‍🌈 02:32, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi I am just seeing this. I am not nor would I threaten anyone. I was just trying to
complete my biography which is significantly more than what you are including. Whoever is
editing my page is misinformed. You can check all my references in theaters mentioned with dates. 50+ interviews om tv shows like the BBC etc. imbd and the site The Sounds of the
Supremes on Facebook. I do not lean on that court case from 30 years ago even though I won it and the countersuit. Those who do, have an agenda. The lack of correct information was brought to my attention by multiple people and I took the time to correct it. You should review the corrected bio which I sent a couple of days ago. Always go to the source when you can, the living person. There were 50 edits by an anonymous entity who knew nothing of my biography but who had an agenda. Thank you in advance for unblocking my biograohy. Kaaren Ragland (talk) 18:02, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, but Wikipedia policy is to not go to the source when you can, because that is not verifiable. A core policy of Wikipedia is that people should be able to look at our sourcing and judge for themselves if it is adequate. That's why we have an entire policy on what constitutes a reliable source. We cannot just take your word for it, in part because we have yet to verify you really are who you claim to be. Even if that becomes verified, we don't just allow someone to say a thing is true. We need it to be in published, reliable sources such as books, newspapers, or magazines. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 18:53, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Threats, attitude, BLP policy

Ms. Ragland, if you are having issues with people editing your biography, you do not own this site or the article because you did not create it. I am basically cleaning up your biography and you are making threats to others about reporting them to their residence state or city department, which is not sensemaking because that your writing on the article sounded unencyclopedic because that in much encyclopedias, we need a source on what you are saying in this article because poorly unsourced content on the Biography of living persons policy should be removed immediately. I gave sources, but what you are saying in "see courts" will not work because that you do not have no direction to that at all, and you only have to cite a source for that by using any source online which is reliable - like Google Books or LA times. I am not attacking you, or doing something else to you, you are clearly edit warring - so otherwise, do not continue because will you get blocked for that as well. So, all of your contributions are not even erased there, I was clearly correcting it because it did not sound encyclopedic and all of it was unsourced. I removed other unsourced content because of the Biography of living persons policy (which I just mentioned). TheGreatestLuvofAll ( chat with me ) 02:34, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sir/Madam: I will take you at your word that your problem with my edits is the sourcing although as I am the subject of this biography I am the best source. If you are going to
need references I will get in touch with my publicist. I have many theater credits,
newspaper reviews, awards etc. I will also furnish dates. Also several tv/film credits.
As for the the court case, that was over 20 years ago and I won and also the subsequent
countersuit because not only did my attorneys provide my contract as a member of the group
but I received a significant settlement because of the misinformation regarding my
membership. Having said that, although The Supremes was a significant part of my background
that was only 8 1/2 years and I have been blessed to be part of many other major Black
entertainment projects. I will get those sources to you later in the week and perhaps
after that my complete bio will be reinstated. Kaaren Ragland (talk) 08:26, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Otherwise, get sources from books, newspapers, and magazines, like I just did. If this is your own biography, let people edit it, because they just came there to add content, and after the discussion at the Supremes article talk, I do not know if or not you are the real Kaaren Ragland. Also per WP:COI, it says that writing about your own biography and taking full control of it is not permitted on here. But, I had read about it years ago and I wanted to prove the information with reliable sources, regarding the case. Otherwise, your page does not lack much of 1000% notability and it is currently being discussed on the Supremes talk whenever or not it will be merged. Thank you.TheGreatestLuvofAll (talk) 12:29, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your publicist is not a valid source. See our reliable sources policy. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 14:09, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will just get dates and publications from my pubicist. He has been accumulating this for years. Thanks again. Kaaren Ragland (talk) 01:25, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to edit my page so that it is accurate regarding my career. I have all the
requisite articles/references now and am trying to correct the situation. I understand that there are fans that want to undermine my membership in The Supremes, however, The Supremes
was only 8 1/2 years of my life and a small part of my contribution to the entertainment business. Therefore I respectfully request to be able to correct my page. In the alternative, please remove all references to The Supremes, other group members and inaccurate legal references. Also, at no time have I nor would I threaten anyone. Kaaren Ragland (talk) 21:43, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I continue to try and edit my page accurately but am unable to do so.
There have not been any threats to anyone, just trying to add my credits
references, awards etc. Kaaren Ragland (talk) 23:34, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This block needs to be removed so that I can add a more accurate and
fulsome bio with references. Thank you in advance for handling this. Kaaren Ragland (talk) 21:12, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
