Career

In 1992, Gonzalez founded Tire Group International (T.G.I.), a Hispanic-owned tire distribution company with headquarters in Miami, Florida..[1] In 2011, T.G.I. partnered with Transportation Resource Partners, an auto industry capital investment firm founded by Roger Penske, the Chairman of the Penske Corporation. [2][3] [4] Gonzalez remains CEO and chairman of T.G.I..[5]

Music production

In 2014, Gonzalez founded Rock the Moon Productions, LLC. ("RTMP"), an independent music label and multimedia creative outlet dedicated to working with South Florida based artists. RTMP’s roster includes GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY nominated Locos por Juana, Latin GRAMMY nominated cuban rapper, EL B of Los Aldeanos, and Latin GRAMMY nominated Cuban musician, Tomas Diaz of The Spam AllStars. RTMP has also worked with Cuban singer Osmani Garcia, South Florida reggae artist Johnny Dread, Nacho Londono, and other artists.[6][7]

Film production

In 2014, Gonzalez executive produced El Mar y Él (The Sea and Him), an award winning short film based on the 1980 Mariel boatlift directed by Tony Mendez and written by Luke Fronefield.[8][9]

In 2016, Gonzalez and his partner Jose Daniel Freixas founded Exilium Media, a multimedia company dedicated to developing film and television projects. Their first venture teamed Exilium with Paramount Pictures and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way to produce The Corporation, a film based on New York Times’ best selling author, TJ English’s book The Corporation: An Epic Story of the Cuban American Underworld, to which Gonzalez and Exilium owned the book rights. Academy Award winner Benicio del Toro will star as Cuban mob boss, Jose Miguel Battle Sr[10][11]

Gonzalez is in post-production on the feature film Vandal which premiered at the Miami Film Festival on March 7, 2019 and directed by Freixas.[12] Vandal tells the story of the young leader of a legendary Miami graffiti crew who comes of age while battling a longtime rival. [13]Gonzalez co-wrote and produced the project which was filmed on location in Miami, FL [14]. Legendary graffiti artist Kelly “Risk” Graval and Rob Weiss, executive producer of the HBO hit series Entourage and Ballers, are executive producers on the film scheduled for nationwide release in late 2019.

DADE International

In 2017, Gonzalez became controlling partner in DADE International, a Miami-based graffiti street culture apparel brand with a retail outlet in Wynwood, Florida.
