Warning

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The R.E.D. Album. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
It is worth noting that using offensive language in edit summaries can also lead to a block. Heimstern Läufer (talk) 10:29, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I know and i apologize for my behavior, but we have worked really hard on this page and for this person to come and comit vandalism on this page is not right especially the tracklisting.JamesCarter05 (talk) 10:30, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The other user in this edit war continued to do so after my warning, so he has been blocked for 24 hours. But the same is likely to happen to you if you revert again, so you need to come up with another way to solve this problem. Our dispute resolution procedures have methods to deal with these problems; for example, you might be able to get a third opinion. Heimstern Läufer (talk) 10:44, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alright thank you. JamesCarter05 (talk) 10:50, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Thank Me Later. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Cash Money

Hi JamesCarter05. Thanks for trying to improve the List of Cash Money Records artists page. Unfortunately, the WP:NLIST guideline says that we cannot include living people on lists of this type unless we have a reliable source that verifies that the person works/has worked there. If the artist has their own wikipedia article, it's alright if the reference is on that page rather than the list, but the many people w/o articles that you added don't have verification, so they can't be included. If you have a source that verifies that those people are/were at Cash Money, feel free to re-add them w/that citation. Qwyrxian (talk) 22:18, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Drake discography. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 10:04, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

November 2011

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Drake discography. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If for some reason this isn't clear to you, the recent edit you marked as minor was anything but. You:

  • re-added a period to a non-sentence caption;
  • reinstated the unnecessary piped wikilink for extended play;
  • removed the hyphen from the adjectival "top-five single";
  • restored run-on and unclear sentences.

And that was just some of what you did in the lede. You also:

  • removed many, many references, and did it without explanation (in a supposed "minor" edit!);
  • restored refs with dates in the invalid format May 03, 2011, instead of the correct format May 3, 2011, or the updated version November 6, 2011;
  • removed several song titles and their peaks with no explanation;
  • restored several outdated, generic refs for RIAA certs, replacing specific, current ones;
  • did the same for Swiss and UK certs refs;
  • added unsourced peaks, including several which are just impossible;
  • reinstated ampersands ("&") multiple times where the Manual of Style specifies the word "and";
  • removed the adaptable columns ability from the References section;
  • reinstated unnecessary code in the Official website template.

Now it's obvious that you are reverting to older versions of the article, but it is not clear what useful purpose your reversions are intended to serve. You have done this several times now, including at:

  • 08:51, 20 September 2011
  • 06:38, 26 September 2011
  • 21:58, 17 October 2011
  • 08:24, 25 October 2011
  • 09:57, 29 October 2011
  • 11:42, 1 November 2011
  • 09:54, 6 November 2011
  • 09:49, 8 November 2011
  • 09:29, 10 November 2011

in addition to the last edit from 12:13, 13 November 2011‎ already mentioned above. The latest change, taken alone, is unhelpful at best; disguising it as a minor edit is dishonest. Repeating these changes without regard for the work of other editors or the value of the numerous changes made since your previous visit is non-collegial and quite disruptive. Please stop this behavior and consider how you might collaborate more usefully on the article in particular and the project in general. Thank you. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 19:01, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Take Care talk page

Hi. Would you like to comment on a discussion at Talk:Take_Care#Downtempo? There's a disagreement with the context of the term "downtempo", referring to the genre or just a synonym for "low-tempo". Dan56 (talk) 03:26, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for continuing to disrupt the same articles over and over again. As JohnfromPickney says, you can't simultaneously say "I'm sorry" and make the same disruptive edits to the article. After you are unblocked, if you think those changes are appropriate, discuss them on the article's talk page instead of edit warring to what appears to be an improperly formatted version.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. File source problem with File:International Amphitheatre.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:International Amphitheatre.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 07:21, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:BullsWordmark.gif missing description details

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:BullsWordmark.gif is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:54, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Chicago Bulls alternate logo.gif

A tag has been placed on File:Chicago Bulls alternate logo.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Werieth (talk) 17:19, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Chicago Bulls home uniform.gif

Thanks for uploading File:Chicago Bulls home uniform.gif. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 18:09, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
