VR Troopers

I read your message, I have indeed noticed Grnrngr.com and visit it quite often; in fact I sent images via Yahoo email many months ago. I read your Metal Hero guide. Your Metalder guide is very accurate, but for Spielban and Shaider, that could be a problem. The thing is that season 2 hardly aired in my hometown (the downside of syndicated shows), those monsters are much more difficult for me to confirm. The monsters that I personally contributed to on the Spielban guide are confirmed. I found Portuguese dub episodes, but not every episode is available. There is a discrepancy about Mechajouka though; the monster appeared in season 1 but did not have a name. Some say its a season 2 monster Bazookabot, but I never saw the VR episode in question. As for images, I won't be posting images for a time being due to a malfunction with my computer. The computer I am using currently does not have screencapturing; but I hope to get my machine repaired soon. There are fans who got to see the entire season 2 and will hopefully be able to help confirm some monsters. But I did manage to confirm Shaider monster MujiMuji as Silkoid (a VRT season 2 ep I did see); this monster is NOT ItoIto. Best of luck. Pitstain 07:18, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MASK / Studio Junio

who do you think directed MASK? Was it Walt Disney or Hanna-Barbera maybe? it was made in Japan lol! and GI Joe?? "the American heroes"?? where? South Korea!! Haha! Yes dude, every cool stuff you've watched were made in South-East Asia by uncredited studios, directors, and chara designers. DiC and Saban (Harmony Gold as well) lied to you in America, and lied to us in France. We were all watching japanimation without even knowing it. xoomer.alice.it/fedgrame/co-productions.htm studios blacklist], I made a section about this scandal yesterday, in the French wiki. If you can read this language take a look at fr:Anime Paris By Night 07:32, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

p.s. Telecom Animation film in Japan made a lot of American superheroes TV shows as well, Spiderman, Batman, etc. Not the Tiny Toons at least? Made in Japan!! :) Paris By Night 07:36, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I can't speak to the first source you cited, but the second source DOES NOT link M.A.S.K. and Studio Junio. No one's questioning the fact that the show was produced overseas, just by who. JPG-GR 17:23, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
After running a translation on the first source, I can find any link there either referring to Studio Junio. Care to elaborate? JPG-GR 17:25, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Responsible studios are [KK C&D Asia], [Studio World] and Ashi Production (ja:MASK (アニメ) & it's just about searching). Tetsuo Katayama directed some anime for Studio Junio ja:スタジオジュニオ, but M.A.S.K. was not created when he was at Studio Junio but Studio World. Paris By Night 18:31, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It has nothing to do with "searching." If a citation is requested, and you cite two sources that CONFIRM NOTHING, you're completely missing the point. I don't know how much I trust a single fansite, but for now I'll leave it alone. JPG-GR 00:23, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It has everything to do with searching, it is YOU the one who's missing the point!By "it's just about searching" I just tried to be polite to say: "if you disagree, all you have to do is to search for yourself I ought you shit". Now it's clearer, you'd probably get it. Studio World and Studio Ashi etc are credited on the Japanese wiki, I gave you the link for it, now if you can't read Japanese, well, I suggest you to forget about MASK and to care about Mickey Moyuse and Tom & Jerry it would be easier for you. Anyway the article is far better now with the Japanese uncredited studios than like it was earlier with stupid statements like "MASK is an American TV show", it wasn't! It was French/US/Japanese. Paris By Night 12:36, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think you should take note of WP:NPA. JPG-GR 16:22, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio

Yeaaaaaah...the talk page. You don't regularly edit articles on old cartoons; otherwise you'd know that other people really don't either. You kind of need a second person to have a conversation (unless one is insane). And whatever happened to "be bold"? And as far as "personal attacks"....I haven't said anything that I regret yet. How about I leave you all alone before I do, and take my writing and editing skills (as well as my -- apparently rare -- ability to write a college-level paper and knowledge of encyclopedia article structure) someplace where it's appreciated? No more backsliding for me -- I'm gone. Peace, and enjoy your grade-school edited wonder-website (which I myself spent countless hours trying to improve upon, especially in the areas of anything involving -- God forrbid -- black people) on your own. This site (it's not you, but unfortunately, you're the one that gets to hear, er, read it) has stressed me out and pissed me off for the last time. --FuriousFreddy 04:57, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A time away from Wikipedia is always a good idea. And, based on this comment from you, my recommendation to read WP:NPA remains. JPG-GR 05:04, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
A personal attack would require me saying mean things about you, and on purpose. Criticising Wikipedia does not consistute a personal attack. Perhaps the "Diana Ross" example is, but why shouldn't I (and other people) be alarmed that the damned page is getting crapped over time and time again by a vandal? --FuriousFreddy 01:58, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re: Your comments.

I'm sorry, but it is hard to be enthusiastic about a project going to pot. What I'm most annoyed about is the fact that the administators are more worried about what people say in edit summaries than the statuses of this "encyclopedia's" articles. I also beseech you, do not talk down to me. You do not walk on water, nor do I. I've been editing for this project for much, much longer than you have (unless you've changed accounts at some point), and I don't need to be reminded me of any policies. You'll quickly find that Wikipedia picks and chooses which policies to follow, so I wouldn't go around being a rule Nazi if I were you. I've been trying to stop editing altogether, but I can't bear to leave some of these pages in the horrid statuses they're in, knowing multitudes of people read these things expecting factually accurate information. If I find myself frustrated by something, I'm going to express such. It's not as if I decended into profanity. --FuriousFreddy 01:55, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You talk as if Wikipedia is an addiction that you find yourself afflicted with. You cannot leave, no matter how many times you say you want to, and you rationalize your continued ignoring of policy as "if no one else follows the rules, why should I?" Your apparent dislike for new editors conflicts with the very basis of a wiki. At this point, I suggest that you take the Wikibreak you keep putting off. JPG-GR 02:01, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
*deep breath*
Look -- I don't dislike new editors, although I do resent being talked down to (which, by the way, you are still doing). Usually, I'm the nicest (well, at least third nicest) person in the world, on here and off; I've just become frustrated by this project lately, and I apoligize for snapping. Wikipedia is not that bad of an "addiction" -- yes, I can leave, but I care far too much about keeping people from "learning" incorrect and inaccurate information, and I'm not really much of a quitter. Every time I do take Wikibreaks or try to quit, the articles within my realm of knowledge go to hell; sometimes, it's as if I'm one of the few people here who actually cares about quality work. Just reading things like [this annoys me, and speaks very quietly to the lack of research and cultural scope of many of these articles (I've had to deal with much worse problems, but this is somewhat indicative).
Editing Wikipedia important for me because there is a distinct lack of Wikipedia editors of African decent. At times, Wikipedia seems to make itself out to be a convenoient hideaway for bigots, racists, and people who just plain don't care about anyone or anything that's not white. Articles on topics which appeal to white males who frequently use computers abound here, while other things suffer and perish. When I got here, there were 300 articles on The Beatles and no article on Sly & the Family Stone. I've touched pratically three-fouths of every article involving African American history, culture, and music (especially music). There's only a small (very small) number of other editors covering the same areas. Wikipedia needs more voices of color, and that's why I don't want to just give up on it.
Again, I apoligize for snapping at you at all, but at the same time, you needn't remind me of any policy or notify me of any violations of policy (trust me, I know them all by heart by now). Sometimes, you can get pretty frustrated if you realize that you're one of the few people who gives a damn anymore, and is trying to follow the rules. This place used to be a lot different when I joined, and people actually cared about quality, and I realize I'm improperly expressing my anger at such. I thought that this was an important and vital project, but perhaps I'm wrong. Many of the current editors have no concepts of professional writing, verifiability, etc. Besides more voices of color, Wikipedia needs more people who actually know how to open a book, find a reference, and actually use it properly in writing. Hopefully, you're one of those people.
But, perhaps I hold too high an opinion of Wikipedia, and I should scale it down to match whatever the project has become today. Citizendium looks like it might be more my speed. I don't want to contribute to a routine wiki -- I want to help write a professional and verifiable encyclopedia and help educate people, not just waste free time. --FuriousFreddy 02:45, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stella

Why did you put a neutrality tag at Stella (singer)? —Lowellian (reply) 04:53, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because you referred to her as a "major pop idol". It was either that, or tag it as Template:db-bio. JPG-GR 04:55, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Um, she's sold millions of CDs and starred in a popular television series. Isn't that the very definition of "major pop idol"? Well, in any case, I changed it to "pop star" and removed the word "major," if that helps. If your complaint was that the article does not have enough information, well, you tagged it two minutes after I started writing it. Try not to be so quick to attack articles---I can understand if it was started by an anon, but when started by an admin with thousands of edits who probably has some idea of notability and would likely expand the article... —Lowellian (reply) 05:03, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When I come across a stub article that wasn't labelled as such, and used NPOV language such as "major pop idol", I tag it as being NPOV. As I've said, I could've just as easily tagged it db-bio, but didn't because it did legi. JPG-GR 05:05, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, realized someone already started the article, though under the wrong name (Stella Ng is the wrong article name, because she never uses her last name in publicity, in the same way that the Madonna (entertainer) is not at Madonna Louise Ciccone). Well, I've moved the article and merged in my additions, so take a look at Stella (singer). Not too bad an article, eh, and clearly notable? Anyway, happy editing. —Lowellian (reply) 05:20, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sigh, just realized there is also a Dutch singer by the same name, so had to disambiguate to Stella (Singaporean singer). —Lowellian (reply) 05:26, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, now it looks like a full-fledged article. Sorry about all that. JPG-GR 05:42, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Coat of arms of Gibraltar

Hi JPG-GR

I am reverting your move of this article to the non-capitalized version. WikiProject Heraldry and vexillology and others before us have debated the proper naming of articles about heraldry and we've settled on a standard using "Coat of arms of ..." as the article name but that it is ok to capitalize the C and A in the intro of the article. The lowercase format was the most widely used, btw. Some of these categories used to be somewhat of a mess, but AFAIK all of them now follow the same naming convention, so we would like to keep them this way. Happy editing. Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 11:57, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's cool. Sorry to cause you more work. JPG-GR 20:36, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I saw you removed content from this article since it appeared to be a copyvio. Are you sure it is? I mean, I came across this website since an other article triggered the copyvio bot, and it appears they are indexing (or reusing) content from Wikipedia for their articles. (The fun part is that it was Beanie Buddies that triggered the bot) -- lucasbfr talk 05:55, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it might be something like that, but as trivia sections are generally frowned upon, I figured I'd play it safe. Either way is fine with me. JPG-GR 02:38, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy response and more

I got your message. If it is possible for you to upload some pictures to it's monster guide (including Starcog's monster picture, not the shadow one), be my guest. I am also the one whose been trying to contact you on your E-Mail of your site about anything related to Beetleborgs and Masked Rider. Rtkat3 2:38, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
