What do you mean by Marthoma Metropolitans of malankara?

1) Marthoma of the malankara church Or 2)marthoma Metropolitan of marthoma Syrian Church

Please note that malankara church and marthoma church are two different churches.

The only two legal heirs of the malankara church are Jacobite and Orthodox.

In 1889 the Reformation group or naveekaranakkar got separated from malankara church and legally evicted from malankara church with Travancore royal court verdict. Later in 1893 the naveekaranakkar adopted a new name called marthoma Syrian Church. They have no official lineage of the malankara church because Thomas Mar Athanasius was evicted from the malankara church. The majority decision is valid in democracy. The minority group cannot claim they are the rightful heirs.if so what is the meaning of majority decision then?

Marthoma Methropolitan of Malankara is a ecclesiastical usage prevalent in Malankara Marthoma syrian church FROM 1876 ONWARDS OR BEFORE . it is continued as from the ordinations of Thomas mar athanasious, From Titus Marthoma Onwards it continued the numbering of earlier Marthoma metrans.. Earlier Marthoma metranS were never known as mALANKARA METROPOLITAN TILL THE TIME OF mARTHOMA X. mALANKARA METROPOLITAN IS NOT ECCLESIASTICAL TILE IT S A POLITICAL TITLE, WHICH IS GIVEN BY THE RULING CLASS . mARTHOMA X TO mATHEWS Mar Athanasious recieved the royal proclaimation and none after that. Thomas Mar Athanasious was oridinated to the shephardship of Great parish of Marthoma christians and as suffragan to the mALANKARA METROPOLITAN. The rival metropolitan Joseph mar Divaniyos II was never oridinated to be the marthoma metran neither malankara metropolita. After the 1876 the malankara churches under him entered into a diocess agreement with the patriarch. in order to weaken the malankara metropolitan position and the malankara church he divided the church itself into 7 diocess and gave the charge of the smallest diocess to Divaniyous V and it was not even kottayam , but kollam. Later the juniour bishops of jacobite faction respected him as malankara metroploita and nothing else. however the infamous kappi kanon , and the mis intepretation of mavelikara padiyola RESULTED THE courts to favour divaniyous V and his faction as malankara metropolitan on the impression that malankara church is a part of jacobite church.. But in long long another faction also raised the marthoma vadham and the jacobite church is now two. Orthodox faction followed the catholicos numbering of continuation of tigris and the jacobite faction a different. Moreover neither Thomas Mar athanasious nor mathews mar athanasious or any marthoma believers is evicted from any church because they never believed or was under patriarch or under the jacobite church. there is not source or relevant documents to prove their excommunication. however jacobite partisans and historians still continues that reiteration. Divaniyous V who brought patriarch was excommunicated later.

Marthoma prelates are called as Marthoma Metropolitans of Malankara and numbers the ecclesiastical postion from Marthoma I onwards.

iT MAY BE NOTED THAT mALANKARA CHURCH CEASED TO EXIST AFTER rOYAL COURT VERDICT. tHE JACOBITE CHURCH WHICH GOT THE VERDICT IN THEIR FAVOUR WAS only a "MALANKARA ARCH DIOCESS OF THE JACOBITE CHURCH" AND STILL KNOWN AS SUCH AND NEVER A INDEPENDENT CHURCH OR ANY. mALANKARA MARTHOMA CHURCH FROM THE DAY OF re organisation was a independent malankara church and claimed continuancy of marthoma metrans.
