Infobox French commune

Hello, this infobox is designed to manage implicitly links to the Region, Department, Arrondissement and Canton, without any brackets, if an article exists beginning with "Arrondissement of xxx" or "Canton of xxx". You just need to put the name of the chief town. Many articles about cantons are not existing yet so the link is not shown, but it will be visible when the article is created. For the region you also don't have to care about ambiguous names: i.e. "region = Auvergne" links to Auvergne (region) and so on. — M-le-mot-dit (T) 16:06, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent; thanks for the information. fluoronaut (talk) 18:41, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
About the "Éludébut" and lists of mayors, I don't see any template to help for that. Look at the List of mayors of Bordeaux. An advise may be asked to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject French communes. My opinion is that this section is not required in the English wikipedia. Great job with Auray !
I agree - I don't think the information is particularly useful for English Wikipedia so I will omit it. Thanks for your help (and encouragement.) fluoronaut (talk) 10:23, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Another comment: according to wp:Overlink Date links should be avoided in en wiki. — M-le-mot-dit (T) 09:46, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just dropping you a quick note about a new Wikipedian in Residence job that's opened up at the National Library of Scotland. Disambiguation link notification for July 22

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rouge-Cloître Abbey, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Windesheim (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
