Hi, Epicgenius. How was your vacation? I hope that you are doing well. The first R179 car #3014 has been spotted near the GWB and is being delivered today.^[1] This means that the R179 page might have to have more edits done on it. I might eventually go out to get pictures.

Additionally, if you have not noticed I have been working on the articles on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line, the IRT Jerome Avenue Line, and the IRT Eastern Parkway Line among other IRT pages. I will have to fix a lot of the dates on the list of stations articles. Stan Fischler only listed the dates for when that portion of the line opened, while some stations such as 191st Street, or 168th Street opened later. It is nice to have you back. I am doing very well, and in two weeks of Florida vacationing, I am more relaxed after all these theme parks, and I got to meet a few friends down south before returning up here. As I was looking through, I saw your description of the system as not being a hub-and-spoke system. I disagree with this, and I plan on rewriting the section, since it is a hub-and-spoke system. The difference is that it is more analogous of a traditional airline hub-and-spoke system than a traditional bus hub-and-spoke system. @Elisfkc: That's not my description, though. The text was here before I started rewriting the page. (There are 7 hubs - 5 if you combine different hubs along the same route - and 22 resorts. So it's actually more like a system with 5 resort routes crisscrossing to up to 22 different stops, plus some routes between resorts. Oh, sorry about that. I just figured since you had been rewriting the page and I didn't see it before, you wrote it. I understand your point, about the point to point, but when you compare the route maps of Delta, a hub & spoke system, and Southwest, a point to point, to Disney Transport, it seems to more emulate Delta's map. And I understand why you see this a hub-and-spoke system because of this, but in Disney, there are several large hubs and many smaller points, all interconnected, which make it more like a point-to-point system. But they aren't all interconnected, at least as far as the spurs (the resorts) are concerned. Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis would be DAK, DHS, & MK, Salt Lake City would be Epcot (since it's slightly smaller & there are a couple less connections), NYC would be Disney Springs (since it doesn't always connect to the parks), Sea-TAC and LA would be the water parks, and Cinncinatti would be ESPN WWOS, in this analogy. Spoke cities like Kansas City, Dallas, and Memphis link to multiple hubs, but not to each other. Elisfkc (talk) 00:35, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Somehow, some edits manage to sneak in because the IP changes dynamically. I'll upload photo evidence later, because the proxy is actually a web filter that my educational institution put in place to prevent students from accessing certain websites (and I am going to upload the image on Photobucket, one of these websites).

• The reason UTRS is the suggested venue for IPBE requests is private information is involved (i.e. the user's IP address). If the editor in question is not concerned about revealing the IP that is causing their block then there's no problem in handling the request here. Bringing my own router is a good idea, and maybe I can enable a wi-fi hotspot on my phone if that happens. However, unless and until they do it, the school's routers should work fine. epicgenius (talk) 18:58, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

A thing about a phone hotspot is that it is basically considered as a webhost, as you can change your IPs with that. I tried to connect to Wikipedia once through my Kindle's 3G, and it said that my IP range was blocked until next year. Woodstop45 • Talk ^(Contribs) 19:01, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

@Kew Gardens 613: I didn't add that the R179s had CBTC. They are definitely CBTC-ready, though, and it would make sense because the Eighth Avenue Line (A/C/E) and Queens Boulevard Line (E/F/M/R) will be next to get CBTC (the bolded services are most likely to get the R179s based on that). I heard on NYC transit forums that they may or may not be CBTC equipped. (Although, IDK, whoever posted that has only 12 posts total...) epicgenius (talk) 19:43, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

@Thisaccountismine2: I understand that. Maybe I'm wrong but half-fare cards only pay for half the fare. Full-fare cards pay for the entire fare. Would it not be better to help me expand? He is the main suspect, attacked NYC should have article and image, please understand why this is a big deal especially now. In terms of sourcing he already passes WP:GNG. People are move likely to expand a stub than a redirect. He accused me of deleting vital information from articles in an underhanded way, didn't respond (yet) to my rebuttal, and reverted at least 3 articles that I've worked on: Yisroel Spira, Ephraim Oshry, and Shmuel Kamenetsky. @StonyBrook: I don't know if you've tried to post on Sir Joseph's talk page directly. However, I think that maybe Sir Joseph's objection is that you didn't add the information with the footnotes included in the Yisroel Spira article, and similar things were done to the other articles (but to a lesser extent). Thanks, he did respond. No, his accusation is that I am removing information. I am actually just simplifying, and putting things in chronological order. I am utilizing the same references. My suspicion is that he saw blank spaces, and didn't take the time to read, and see that all the facts are still there before destroying all the work. @StonyBrook: Actually, you can boldly reinstate it after you and Sir Joseph have come to an agreement. If not, there can be concerns of edit warring. He doesn't necessarily have to reinstate anything, but if you provide the proof, there is nothing to argue about.
