Mackey's B'day.

Ah okay, I see. I'll remove her from the January 4th roster then too. Their agents ought to make things easier for us all and post exact dates and name spellings, etc., to help avoid these shenanigans! --Cinemaniac86TalkStalk 13:48, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Problematic editor

An editor that you interacted with earlier this month has been repeatedly changing information on multiple articles (without citing any sources for these changes). I think they could possibly be a sock? - because I ran an editor utility search and came up with this. Would appreciate it if you could look in on the situation at Robb Elementary School shooting and let me know what you think. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 15:37, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think it ought to be reported at WP:SPI. While there seem to be plenty of good faith edits (albeit unsourced), the similarity in edits between the two accounts and the temporary block of the older account makes me feel a checkuser should take a look at this. I don't have those credentials, so I can't help with that I'm afraid. MIDI (talk) 09:53, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks. Will do. I *thought* the 2 accounts looked suspicious... Shearonink (talk) 14:58, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 24

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gladiators (2024 British TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Preston.

query

should there be mention that Guy Mowbray was also heard in the trailer? Visokor (talk) 08:56, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd have thought that's implied from the fact he's the series commentator – personally, I don't think we need to get too hung up on the contents of the trailer; mentioning when it was released (as it was a primary piece of early promo) is important, but much more than that is unnecessary. MIDI (talk) 09:11, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding ep3, this is a bit of a trifle... how do we do up that summary to show the female contenders going first in that one like in the original series? Visokor (talk) 11:27, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That should be doable with an extra field in the template to specify which to show first. Gimme a mo... MIDI (talk) 14:40, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Great username

Came here to compliment your username after seeing it from your recent edit of John Randolph Tucker High School. Have a nice day! JuxtaposedJacob (talk) 17:58, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

:D Thanks! MIDI (talk) 18:56, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Hungerford

No rush, but I was wondering if you have a specific timeset for when this article would be worked on? I still have some things to do as well, but the sourcing is the most pressing issue. PARAKANYAA (talk) 17:29, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the nudge :) MIDI (talk) 20:22, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

The onus is on every editor to check edit summaries when potentially reverting a previous edit, such as you did with mine. That said, thank you for the alternative source, which keeps everyone (US and Europe) happy. Ref (chew)(do) 17:22, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Captions

You may not know but periods are not used in phrases. Emphasis01 (talk) 20:07, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at. MIDI (talk) 20:09, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A common problem with captions and other things related to them is that a short phrase is not ended with a . A dilemma arises if you have two phrases as to which punctuation to use to separate them. Often a semi-colon works. Emphasis01 (talk) 20:11, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see why you're telling me this – could you let me know where I've either added or removed full stops in captions? MIDI (talk) 20:13, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Stop reverting, you are using wrong grammar. Emphasis01 (talk) 20:24, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dundalk to Baltimore

Your Baltimore/Boston booboo puts me in mind of what would be a mythical bridge spanning the length of Ireland from Dundalk to Baltimore, County Cork. Locally, the Maryland Dundalk is noted as one of Baltimore's less salubrious suburbs, especially now that the steel mill has vanished. Acroterion (talk) 22:47, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

:) Amusingly, Baltimore is still only 400 miles from Boston, so there's room for me to screw that article up on a similar scale too. MIDI (talk) 07:26, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And there's always Boston, Lincolnshire. Acroterion (talk) 12:08, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Amess murder talk

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Murder_of_David_Amess#Should_this_article_reflect_trial_accounts_of_the_attack/Ali’s_behaviour?

I have added the following link to the discussion as to whether we should rewrite the article to reflect how later accounts described the attack? This will be the last I will do the Amess articles, as it is too painful for me personally. 92.17.198.220 (talk) 16:39, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, perhaps you could do the same thing to the List of solved missing person cases pre 2000 as you did to the List of solved missing person cases: post-2000. Davidgoodheart (talk) 16:46, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Happy to do that. MIDI (talk) 19:13, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
