Rlandmann, I did not take these photographs. They were taken by Messrs. Shepherdson and Nielson (who apppear in the images). They gave me the originals some thirty years ago to publish as I saw fit, long before notions of intellectual property had any currency. I'm happy to make whatever changes are necessary, but I'll need your guidance with this as I've found the Wikipedia licensing guidelines extremely daunting.

Can you confirm that this is definitely a Marbled Frogmouth (Podargus ocellatus) and not Tawny Frogmouth (P. strigoides)? If Conor took this image in Redwood Park, Toowoomba, Qld it is highly unlikely to be Marbled as they have never been recorded there. Aviceda talk 21:24, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've just posted a little note in the talk section of that page, copied below for your convenience. I'm not planning on making any edits to the pages as I don't know exactly what the photo is

I'm a Thruster owner, so - This looks like some homebrew contraption, made from assorted parts. Probably 1980's vintage. The wheels are plastic hub wheelbarrow wheels, I've seen these used on primitive trikes too. The red fibreglass cowling is not a thruster T300 pod (the curves are wrong) although it does vaguely look like it. So possibly a modified trike (powered hang-glider) pod or a gyrocopter pod. The upper spars are rectangular, and Thrusters were always round. Some of the primitive homebrew trikes used rectangular spars. My best guess is this is a homebrew attempt to make a scout-like aircraft using trike or gyro parts.

Last November I made some adjustments to your photo of the Leopard 1 tank at Kilcoy RSL. I liked the image very much -- it brought back memories of a trip in one at Pucka many years ago -- and felt I was being constructive in doing what I did. I left the comment: "I removed the camera tilt and modified exposure, contrast and colour values to make the photo less gloomy (it was taken during rain). I also cropped the image to emphasise the massive quality of the tank." Soon after it was reverted by a Wikipedian on the grounds of "per COM:OVERWRITE". I had been familiar with that policy, and I had believed that although I had made several changes I had stayed within the limits described, e.g. in "Minor improvements".

Hi, I was wondering if you might remember this photo you uploaded many years ago. I was just about to use it in the Yuleba, Queensland article when I noticed it was being used on the Wallumbilla, Queensland. OK, the two towns are quite close but still I wondered "why would someone use a photo of Yuleba in the Wallumbilla artile" so I took a look at the edit history of the Wallumbilla article to see if it might be some kind of vandalism. According to the summary, when the photo was added to that article, the contributer said Note that despite the file name "Yuleba", this is actually a picture of Wallumbilla. The grain silos are the giveaway. And when I looked at aerial imagery of Wallumbilla, the grain silos and sheds in the photo do appear similar tbe the ones in Wallumbilla based on this view in Google Maps and Yuleba does not appear to have any grain silos (although it may have done so in the past).
