ok, so you are actually thinking of retiring? not sure I want you to do that. separate topics for a minute: you've been on here over six years. pretty cool. I have some questions to ask you and I think there could be some hope here seeing that you have studied about six years at a university, you also are into the Paralympics. You might want to consider adding the articles at User:Ryan Vesey/Olympian stubs to the project. I'm using it to add the results to all of the articles. I also have User:Ryan Vesey/Non-stub olympians In addition, you might want to add the following script to your common.js page.

B12, I've just noticed this group of photos (Olympians and Paralympians) released by the Welsh Assembly, which seem fair game. I'm happy to upload them but I'm not sure if we can use them as fair use or commons. What's your view? FruitMonkey (talk) 19:53, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Unfortunately they seem to be tagged under non-commercial and no derivative works licenses which aren't allowed on commons (for a guide on what is allowed from flickr see here). Also you won't be able to claim them as fair-use, that's almost never possible with an image of a living person, so I don't think they can be used - Basement12 (T.C) 21:02, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Would you go and take a look at the 2004 ((nation)) at the Summer Olympics pages I've fixed and tell me what I've done wrong? I've got some guy coming through, adding templates, adding pictograms and changing the way I did my tables. If he's doing it right, he can finish them. The pictograms aren't needed and should be removed, having images in headings can cause problems with screen readers and is against WP:ACCESS guidelines. The templates for team sports are handy as they can be used on multiple pages and reduce the page size and should be used where they exist, but they aren't essential and if they don't already exist it's better to have the information in some form if you aren't prepared to create them all. The changes to the tables seem to be mostly correct (at least in e.g. this edit on Estonia), the guidelines for such tables are set out at WP:OLYMOSNAT. - Basement12 (T.C) 21:58, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
